Tastes delicious, but the texture isn't for the faint of heart
First of all, yes - it's a little gritty, which can be off-putting, but it's not at all "break your teeth" crunchy as the other review claimed. It's closer to the texture of un-strained raspberry jam, because the bird cherries (or hackberries - prunus padus) are minced whole and cooked. Even bird cherry *flour* is a little grainy. The flavor isn't a straightforward Bing cherry taste, more like a smoked Black Tartarian cherry mixed with almonds, and is much tastier when cold. I put it on my homemade sourdough bread (which is flavored with homemade watermelon molasses) and it is wonderfully tasty.

Filled with crushed seeds
I personally could not eat this jam. First, it is too sweet. Second, and the main thing - the jam filled with nothing but crushed hard shells/seeds. Hard to enjoy the jam when you constantly need to spit out the crushed seeds.

Good
A little too sweet, but otherwise nice. What about people complaining about the crushed seeds... This is a wild berry - small, tangy, and with large seeds. Not everything in this world is greenhouse-grown, sugary-sweet and seedless.

Baking Might be Good
The product is good but I found too many seeds in the jam. I personally do not like that.

Taste of childhood
People, that complained about it being "gritty", just don't know what bird cherry is. These preserves are absolutely wonderful.

There’s no bird cherries in that jar.
It doesn’t taste like bird cherry with sugar not even close except the pieces of crushed pits. Bird cherry has a taste similar to Amaretto. Bird cherries are used worldwide in baked goods for this exceptional flavor. I have no idea what they added to those pits but it tastes horrible. Total waste of money and ruined expectations.
