Absolutely love this straightener. I have bought countless regular ones at the store that always break or are flimsy or don't work well. This thing is a champion at straightening hair with less passes. I LOVE IT.

First, the temperature is not as hot as it claims, definitely not 425. Second, the 10 second warm up was 1 min. 40 seconds (yes, I timed it).The plate setting is great, this is one super selling point for this iron. It doesn't catcher grab my hair. It's done pretty good with my frizz, too. The indicator light is helpful, (red for power, and turns green when heated) and the controls are inside the iron, so they don't get in the way. I have really this hair with a weird wave, and I'm pretty pleased with the results.

The on/off switch and temperature dial is on the inside of the iron. Need to carefully reach in to use those switches. I thought that placement was kind of strange until I started using the appliance. By having those switches inside, they don’t get in the way when you’re using the iron. This is a truly unique iron because you can use it to not only straighten hair, but also create waves, curls and flips. The floating plate is great so you don’t get creases. Love the adjustable temperature and green light tells you it’s heated up and ready to use. Cord length is good and swivels. Unit is light and easy to maneuver. I had so much fun trying new styles. Gives me some variation from day to day and allows me to change my hair style quickly. This flat iron is not only gorgeous, but it feels like great quality. I was not expecting for it to have some weight to it and for it to look like the quality that it hold. The cord is a decent length, the on/off button and temperature control is on the inside below the plates, and it heats up really fast. My old flat iron went to 410 and this one goes to 450...not sure if you will ever need it that hot, but the option is there. Using the flat iron was just like any other one. It worked well, nothing to complain about, but nothing special either. I would say that this is worth it as the quality is very nice.I received this product at a discount for my very honest review.

So I feel like the major flaw here is that the on/off switch and heat controls are between the two sides. You're gonna have to be real careful not to burn yourself when you turn this off. Otherwise I like the design and the panels seem really nice. The biggest struggles I've come across with hair straighteners have been issues with my hair being ripped out, inaccurate temp readings, and waiting for it completely heat. Not only is this product nice to look at (color wise), it also performs just as well. The reading for temperature were proven to be accurate and also diverse depending how much heat your hair prefers. I have extra curly hair and this made it even easier to handle by not tugging on lose strands and breaking off hair.I received this product in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
