Buffalo Games Hummingbird Garden Jigsaw Puzzle from The Vivid Collection, 1000 Piece

This is the first 1,000 piece puzzle I've ever done. I just recently got into puzzles and when I saw this one knew that I would definitely love the subject of the puzzle if nothing else! It took me a weekend to complete and I just have to say that this puzzle is gorgeous! It's fun, bright and stunning. When completed my mother demanded I frame it for her to hang! The pieces are nice and sturdy, they snap together so I didn't have problems with multiple pieces fitting in the same spot. I just can't say how much better the puzzle looks when completed compared to the picture on the box. My mother and I love this puzzle so much that when buying a frame (for this puzzle at Michaels) we stopped by the puzzles and she automatically took another vivid collection puzzle for me to make her! Definitely worth every penny! Fun to put together and an even better gift!

This is the first Buffalo puzzle I’ve ever done. Saw some of the other problem reviews, & these are budget-quality puzzles, which made me a little wary. However, that being said, I was pleased with this one & it was fun to do. This is my first 1000 piece puzzle, so it took more time than usual, but it was very engaging. Loved the bright colors & I’m a fan of the subject matter. The pieces were sturdy enough, & while a few had some minor layer separation issues, it did not affect their use nor mar the final picture. There were a handful of pieces that did seem to fit in a space, but you later learned they did not. This was not such an issue as to be frustrating, but rather a challenge to be more observant....I thought it added another slight element of skill to the game. There was a good picture on the box, as well as a paper picture guide included. I had no missing pieces, but glad they have their puzzle piece guarantee. I’ve bought several other Buffalo puzzles now & look forward to enjoying them as well. Happy puzzling!

My original review is below. I thought I was missing 8 puzzle pieces, until I did my laundry. Unbeknownst to me, the missing puzzle pieces were in a pocket. So I am changing my review to 5 stars, and retracting my first review. My apologies. The puzzle was vivid and colorful. Beautiful. 1,000 pieces is perfect for me. Unfortunately, 8 pieces were missing. Frustrating, as you get to the end, and there are holes! Sometimes if the puzzle is beautiful, I save it under a glass table top to admire, but can't with this one.

I really enjoyed working this puzzle...it made me smile! Who doesn't love hummingbirds and colorful flowers? Buffalo puzzles are excellent quality and if you prefer to purchase USA made products...Buffalo puzzles fit the bill. I really appreciated the included poster...so helpful. As someone who does a lot of 1000 pc puzzles...this one was a nice challenge, but not frustratingly difficult. It's part of Buffalo's "Vivid Collection". The finished puzzle was really good looking, with its bright colors, and I intend to purchase others from the collection.

Most all my puzzles come from buffalo games because of the price point and the quality of tight interlock. One problem is there always seems to be missing a couple pieces. The only puzzle I've done which was not missing a piece was from another company. But I continue ordering buffalo games puzzles because of vivid colors and the great interlock it has. I can move sections of the puzzle without it falling apart.

This puzzle has a lot of positives and I am really enjoying it. As advertised, the pieces snap together cleanly. The only downside to this is that when two pieces get attached in the loose pile, it is difficult to separate them without damage (you have to gently rotate them). This is not a complaint. There was only a trace of dust in the sealed bag of pieces. The paper copy is large enough to find all the details easily. The colors are vibrant. The same colors appear multiple places, with subtle hue and pattern differences, adding challenge and interest. One change that would push this puzzle to the next level would be more unusual shapes and pieces that don't all line up at the corners. This may have been intentional. There was one thing I would change on the packaging. The box says it is sealed. It is REALLY sealed. It has two glue spots on all four edges between the cover and inner box that takes a knife to open.

This 1000 piece "vivid" puzzle lived up to it's name. The colors are quite vivid and beautiful. The pieces are well cut meaning there were only a few times I had a wrong piece in place because it looked like it fit. Very little dust with this puzzle. Actually sent the same puzzle to my sister so we could do it at the same time in different states since it was so well priced at the time. I would consider buying more puzzles of this type.

I bought this for my Nan she is in her 80's and loves doing puzzles. She put this together in a matter of hours she said it was fun easy and colorful and it wasn't missing any pieces which made her happy cause sometimes the puzzles miss pieces but that's not the case here. I mean you get a pretty puzzle for a great price and get to make your Nan happy win win in my book.

This puzzle offered a good challenge. It wasn't too easy or too hard and looked great when it was done. I have purchased a lot of Buffalo Games puzzles and they have always been good quality and there have never been any missing pieces.

So this puzzle came with and extra piece and I was missing two other pieces. However the company has a really great missing piece policy, so I am just waiting for a replacement so I can finish the puzzle. It was fun to put together and will be beautiful when finish :)
