I am pleasantly surprised at how efficient this air pump is - and I’m confused about other reviews that say this pump pushes air in, then pulls air out when pulling it back. Mine absolutely does not do that! I pointed it at my face and it blows air at me as I push in and as I pull out the cylinder, which is unlike any hand pump I’ve ever used. It actually sucks in air from the back when you pull the cylinder out. So for every pump (either in or out) it is blowing air into whatever you are inflating. For the money, you just can’t beat this air pump! I used it immediately to blow up a water float and it worked great!Please note: when inflating any water floats, there is usually a back or inner valve that keeps the air from escaping before you place the cap on, so you have to pinch the valve at the base in order to blow it up, whether you’re doing it by breaths or an air pump. This did take some maneuvering before the pump could start blowing the float up, but once I had the inner valve dislodged, it worked flawlessly. This feature on inflatable floats is common and is in no way the fault of the hand air pump.I’m including a short video to show air blowing on a fur cushion while pulling out or pushing in the cylinder. If yours doesn’t work this way, I’d say to return it, because something inside must be defective.All in all, a great purchase!

Doesn’t work and I’ll be looking to get a refund :( upon the refund process I’d like to update my review. Yes my product didn’t work however, the woman I worked with regarding the issue was very kind and issued me a refund without a problem. Due to the awesome customer service I gave them four stars instead of the one.

I bought this to take with my to thr Caribbean to blow up a large float to use at the pool. Doesn't take up much space and is lightweight, since it doesn't need to be plugged in or use batteries.I'd say my large full body float took me about 10 minutes to blow up using this. I won't lie that your hand may cramp a bit. And it will take some time to get it positioned well and in such a way that it doesnt keep falling out or air isn't escaping. But it was worth the effort and once you get it down and into a groove, voila, float is ready.

I bought it to blow up an inflatable Christmas yard ornament. Don't waste your money on this useless piece of junk. unless you can pull the valve of the item you are trying to inflate over the tip of this pump it will not work. Nothing other than a small balloon will allow this.

This product boasts that it is powerful and will fit all air-based needs. As a hot air balloon connoisseur, I was obviously interested in this product. After soaring into skies, I ran into a flock of birds. As it turns out, one of the little buggers poked a hole in my balloon. Losing air quickly, I attempted to reinflate using this product but it was to no avail. I did not have enough air left to make it to LaGuardia forcing me to do an emergency water landing in the Hudson. Overall 3/5 stars

We had such a hard time inflating a large whoopie cushion, so with lots of research, I found one solution was using a straw and blowing through that. So this pump looked like it could act as a straw to insert into the mouth of the whoopie cushion, and while holding the mouth of the cushion around the tip, it was so easy and fast to blow up! Also great for other wide mouthed inflatables like balloons and more.
