Why did you pick this product vs others?: It appeared to match what I wanted and had good reviews. I was a little tentative about putting it together since a few reviews mentioned that it took a lot longer than the buyer had anticipated and at least one person mentioned that two people doing the job was a huge asset. I have a hard time imagining why all the negative reviews about length of time and difficulty putting it together were for this product. I am nearly 85 years old, a woman (but fairly handy with tools, etc) and my trepidation was all for nothing. This is a very straightforward kit, great instructions with lots of useful illustrations. The parts all went together very nicely (a little 'convincing' needed to get the shelves to fit flush...one corner was reluctant to settle in but with the little mallet and some 'body english', they dropped in right away. I am very impressed with the materials and quality of manufacturing for the parts and for the ease of putting together. I definitely did not need another person to assist. I was done with assembly in I got the unit that is about 5 ft high, nearly 4 ft wide, with 4 adjustable shelves some 20" deep. The little mallet that is included is great. I took my time, working carefully, some short breaks. Done in less than 2 hours. It is very stable and the stuff I had intended to store on it is in place, same day. And, big bonus is that this comes in a box that is only 5" thick and there was a minimum of packing materials but yet everything was packed to provide safety for the materials. Small parts were nicely packaged and almost no waste that I can't recycle where I live (a rural area so we don't have recycling for everything).

I collect NECA HORROR figures and also some of the SIDESHOW statues. I was looking for something to display them in, mainly because the bookcase that I had wasn't the right color scheme. I decided to try the RAYBEE 4 tier shelving unit and man did I make a great choice. The 4 tier doesn't take up much space, which is good, because I live in a studio apartment. The instructions are easy to read and the unit is easy to put together. I did it in an hour, but I also took a coffee break to have a sandwich, so if you take that away, say 30 mins more or less. You can do it yourself, but if you have someone help you, you could probably do it in around 15 to 20 mins. The unit is sturdy and can hold a lot of weight. It comes with a pair of gloves and a mallet to bang things into place and to make sure the unit is sturdy and strong. You can also choose to have one tier, or two separate smaller ones. It also comes in a 5 and 6 tier. If you're looking for something that's affordable, sturdy and strong, you can't go wrong with a Raybee shelving unit. I definitely recommend this product.

We love these shelves we've bought 3 so far. Husband loves them for the ease of putting together. It holds a lot. Very sturdy!

These shelves don't look sturdy while you're assembling them but they are. I have three with hunf=dreds of pounds of gear on them. Fairly easy to assemble and strong.

Great Shelf! I was really hesitant to purchase this shelf because of the little reviews (3) and the cost (For $109). I do think it is priced too high. It is almost exactly what I was shopping for my kitchen appliances. It is not as white as the photos though. Its more of a really really light tan color. It was very east to assemble. I was done in under 30 minutes and that was with taking tiny breaks for a drink or to say hi to the pups! Every so often one of the shelf brackets wouldnt set in as easy so I would just swap it with another one and that worked great. It had one tiny ding in one shelf itself but I placed that on the bottom row and you wouldnt be able to tell. I would say 4 - 1/2 stars just because of the strength of the shelves. If I was putting more weight I might replace the metal shelving with wood if it was going in the garage or something but for this purpose or for a closet storage it is plenty good. The size is as stated. I would say perfect for a pantry or clost or kitchen or for a lighter weight garage shelving. I think the sellers could due with out the "Heavy Duty" term. Its a Great Shelf. I would buy 5 more if they were more like $60-70 range.

Sturdy and nice quality

I've been buying at Amazon for many years and this is the first time I've wanted to write a review. I am very happy with this shelving unit. It looks great and was relatively easy to put together. (Note that I'm 75 and I assembled it alone.) So here's my review... Too often products arrive slightly damaged because they were inadequately protected by their packaging. Sometimes they are missing parts or assembly instructions. This unit's carton showed some signs of being bumped around, but the inside packaging was so thorough, every piece came out in pristine condition. The shelves especially were additionally saved from the bumping by thick, multilayered cardboard corner strengtheners. The result, no scratched parts, no bent or twisted parts. Included with the parts was an easy to understand and follow assembly manual, and even, as promised, a good pair of protective gloves. They company also included a small rubber mallet to use during assembly. I personally found it too small and light, perhaps because of my age, so I used a larger one that I owned. And those corner strengtheners mentioned earlier made great paint protectors so my heavier mallet left no marks. The design of unit is excellent. When all the vertical and horizontal pieces were assembled, I double checked with the mallet that all connections were solid before inserting the shelves. They all fit easily and are perfectly level. The whole operation, from unpacking to finished unit, took me about two hours. This includes making coffee and one break to stretch my hamstrings. All in all, I'm very happy with how the unit arrived, and even happier with how the finished shelving looks.
