When Sinners Say "I Do": The Study Guide

My Pastor suggested my Fiance and I read this prior to our wedding. It has so much Biblical insight and wisdom and I feel it would be a beneficial read for any married or almost married couple.We are adding it to our "will read and study again" pile.

When you have problems in a marriage, you tend to focus on your spouse and his/her role in the breakdown in the relationship. If you read this book carefully and prayerfully you will begin to see there are bigger issues that need to be addressed. What is my sin that contributed? How have I responded in a way that ignited the conflict and keeps it going. What does God want to happen in a marriage, and what really is the point?This book is easy to read, but frankly, it is NOT easy to agree that the problems are because we are two people who want our way. Not possible. So, will we agree that God should have His way?

Verbose. Good content, but it could’ve been summarized.

Good guide

My wife and I picked this up for a small group study on marriage. As we've read it we have determined that it is geared towards the very newly married and/or the very young married. Great resource for that group but if you're a married couple already secure in your relationship with God and his purpose for you and your marriage, then something a little more mature would suit you better. If you're still building trust and communication in your marriage then it's perfect.

Awesome book! My fiancé and I came from different backgrounds (evangelical protestant and catholic) and we both thoroughly enjoyed the book! Brings up great questions and topics to discuss. So thankful our pre-marriage counselor suggested this for us!

This study guide along with the book are very eye-opening. The concepts for marriage are not the regular, run-of-the-mill ideas. It is a good study guide to accompany the book of the same title. Not just for Christians only. This talks about the inner workings of marriage that are never discussed.
