These speakers are a great upgrade when combined with the tweeters
These speakers are a great upgrade when combined with the tweeters! My Crosstrek Premium had the base stereo and since I started commuting 500 miles a week I was feeling underwhelmed with the base speakers. Once I got these and took the old ones out of the door I can see why. All four of the speakers combined weigh as much as one of the Kickers. There is so much more clarity and you don't get the crazy distortion if you want to crank your music. Definitely worth the $$$ and they are plug and play. This takes maybe an hour of your time and it's so worth it! The only thing I was less than impressed with was that Fedex was the ones who delivered and Fedex always runs a day or two behind UPS in my area.

Very good sound quality and installation
If you’re torn on getting these for ease of installation vs some “better sounding” aftermarket speakers, do these. The difference is negligible. These sound fantastic with an alpine power pack KTA 450. Pair it with a kicker hideaway underseat subwoofer and it’s like heaven. I recently upgraded a 2014 Mazda 6 and a 2016 SUBARU STI. In the Mazda I put some JBL components with dash mount tweeters and the same KTA 450 amp. Both cars I replaced the head units to CarPlay enabled models. Mazda got an alpine ilx-650 which is very buggy and had just came out, hopefully it gets better with updates but for now everyone should pass on it. The STI I installed a kenwood 7705s and it’s great. As far as sound they both sound great but the kenwood has a lot more tricks and sound manipulation effects that can help get the sound right where you want it. All in all I can’t tell much of a difference between the two cars sound. The difference was how much work and no modification the Mazda required to install speakers. It was a real pain. The STI was plug and play. Very easy.

Direct fit, nice, & simple
I installed these in my 2017 Subaru WRX. Installation was fast and simple. It took me about 45 min. The sound quality is a significant improvement from the stock speakers. They fit right in place without any special modifications.Don't expect to be blown away with volume if you still have the stock head unit (radio). All you need is to add a small amp and you are set with these speakers. If you do choose to use an amp with these speakers 50 watts RMS is their max power handling at 4 Ohms.

A Nice Upgrade for Your Subaru after some Tweaks
This Kicker Speaker upgrade is a nice improvement to the standard Subaru speakers with some additional considerations. First I installed these four door speakers in my 2015 Subaru WRX Premium with the base stereo (CV629UM), not the Harman Kardon.I purchased the Kicker tweeter upgrade also. What makes these speakers work well is the Subaru radio hacks (hidden features) that are available when searched for online. The hack unlocks additional power to the radio that helps drive these higher capacity speakers. With the addition of the hidden stereo features, keeping the factory head unit is acceptable. These fit perfectly into the original speaker locations and plug right in. NOTE: Take caution when removing your back door panels as the connection to the power window switch is VERY short. It does not take much to break the switch tabs that hold it to the door.Best practice is to go through a variety of your music when you adjust the treble, midrange and bass to get the best sound out of these speakers. The only limitation is the amount of clean bass you can push through these speakers. The Kicker speaker upgrade does a great job adding clarity to your music and improved bass. Some songs hit harder than others so I plan to round out my system with a powered subwoofer with bass control. The quality of these speakers are outstanding. The magnets are HUGE. They are 100 times better built than the base factory speakers. I am very happy with these speakers.

Must need upgrade for stock sound
I knew the stock speakers on my 2020 WRX sti were not good at all, but it wasn't until i pulled the old ones out i saw how awful they truly are. The stock speakers have no weight to them, and the speaker magnets are about the size of a quarter. These kicker direct fit speakers are the easiest way to get good sound quality.Pros:-Replaces terrible stock speakers-clears up sound, everything sounds distinct-much louder than stock-easy install took 45 minutesCons:-expensive compared to similar product-there are better speakers for less (without direct fit)-shoudl have been what the car came with

Huge upgrade over stock
2016 sti base model, super easy install alone you can tell the difference but you really get your money’s worth when you pair them with the upgraded tweeters. Doesn’t sound like a tin can anymore and I can actually hear my music over my straight piped car when cruising on the interstate.

great investment if you want simplicity of installation
authentic kicker speakers from subarupros:deep bass and upgraded with large heavy 5 pound magnetscoaxial speakers with tweeters on all 4 drivers improves sound through out the vehicle and creates highs being able to be achieved. before replacing the door speakers they only did mid in the front speakers and low bass in the rear door speakers now it is balanced and significantly better sounding

Solid Upgrade - Easy to Install
Compared to the factory speakers, these are quite a nice upgrade, but certainly not much bang for your buck with these. I bought these for the simple convenience of the plug and play nature of them. I'm not much of a handy person but I was able to install these on my own in about 30 minutes. They provide much improved mid range bass that was totally lacking in the stock speakers. The head unit does not power these very well, as I have to run the volume about 6 or 7 notches higher than with the factory speakers.
