Hi redflower, thanks for your question. We agree with the other replies you've received: the Kuma Chef Knife comes very sharp and cuts quite nicely through roasts. When the time finally does come for sharpening your Kuma Chef Knife, you can use any standard knife sharpening steel. Unfortunately, we do not carry such a product at the moment but many other great sellers on Amazon do :)- Kuma

The quality of the handle is very nice, sturdy yet not too heavy. It's super razor sharp and I use it for everything like slicing meat, chopping vegetables and fruit. I love this knife....... I would give it 5 stars!
