There are chips in the finish. The are NOT hidden when installed. Did I get a used part? Face it, it's a budget part. It is made well enough. The color ... I gambled and lost. I wanted blue It is more aqua. I'll stick to black next time. I replaced my factory 35mm carbon bars with after market aluminum bars. I couldn't find 35mm, clamping area, bars with the rise I wanted, so this 31.8 mm clamping part. I do feel a bit bad putting this on my super expensive week old MTB, but deep down I'm cheap. A part that weighs 10+ grams less won't help me ride any better.

This stem is an excellent upgrade from my original and im amazed at the improvement in overall handling and ride ability once I replaced stem and handle bars.

Wanted something for the meantime til I order a new one from danscomp. It not bad at all, I don’t use my bike for extreme riding so I’m not sure if it’s strong enough for dirt jumping aggressive riding etc etc . I use my bike for street riding cardio.
