Yes, there are two sections to refill (each half). They are double zippers on the back.

Q: Could you use it on a low couch as a kind of booster seat? Couch is too low, I need something comfy to make getting up easier.

It depends on how low your chair it is or your couch they’re very comfortable. All you can do is try it if it doesn’t work send it back.
