Very easy to assemble. The bench is sturdy and a comfortable height. It looks nicer than I expected, and and even men's work boots fit on the rack.

I am not using this unit for its intended purpose as a shoe rack - instead it is a bench for my cats so they can lounge in front of the main window and stare at the birds. Ya, I know, I'm owned by them. I can say its working great and they love it! IF I was going to use it in a front hall/entry for a shoe storage/put on area it would also be great. It is extremely solid and sturdy, good quality and I love the charcoal grey bench colour The racks have lots of room for shoes and maybe low booties. I put a couple baskets on the top rack to store their toys and the dog's. It was very easy and quick to put together. So if you want a shoe bench its great - if you want a lounge bench for your cats this is a winner!

This bench arrived quickly and in perfect order. It was easy to assemble. It is sturdy - comfortable to sit on. The two shelves below the seat provide ample space to place shoes and/or articles of clothing. The black steel and dark grey seating area has a modern look. It is narrow enough so as to fit against a wall neatly. I purchased it for a small bedroom and it is unintrusive. I am considering purchasing another one for the entrance.
