Steelbody Deluxe 6 Position Utility Weight Bench STB-10105

This is a solid bench. The seat and bench are a little wobbly since they have a wide tolerance in the bolts, but it never bothers me or interferes with any lifts once you’re on it. They are also a little wider than I would prefer (I’m 6’, 175lbs), but I’d imagine it would be more comfortable for wider people. It is fairly transportable since it has wheels. But doesn’t fold up completely or anything, so still takes up quite a bit of room. Highly recommended for the price point.

A few eons from now when some random galactic explorers discover the remnants of our earthly 'civilization' they will probably find a whole bunch of these excellent Steelbody weight benches still in rock-solid pristine condition. Very likely they will gather up as many as they can and transport them back to their native galaxies for use as the centerpiece in their home gymnasiums. Beautiful, built like a tank, EASY assembly (okay, a 17mm socket ratchet or wrench is useful) rolls effortlessly where ever you need it (stands up nicely out of the way when you don't need it) classy and stylish labels & logos. Wide enough, long enough, strong enough, stable enough for any legitimate workout application. And best of all, none of the if's and's or 'but's other customers whine about in the reviews of all the cheaper (yes) but otherwise inferior benches being sold on this site. Do yourself a big favor and get this one!

I’m giving this bench 5 stars because the quality is there. It’s sturdy and feels genuinely built to last. That being said, I ran into a few issues: 1. As seen in the photo attached, the back pad came with a deep stain on it. It looks like oil or blood, and I haven’t been able to get it out. 2. The instructions were HORRIBLE. I built an entire home gym before setting up this bench and none of their instructions were nearly as bad. The way each part is labeled, and the way the instructions go through each step is so poorly done that it took me at least twice as long as it should have to set up. 3. The main back pad feels too short. I was worried about this, but a few reviews convinced me I should give it a shot. When in the upright position, the back of the bench only goes up to the base of my neck. It makes it impossible to have my head resting in the proper position while doing any incline chest press or overhead pressing movements. If you’re 6’+ and having your head resting on press movements is important to you, or if you want a bench with easy instructions, then you may want to look elsewhere. If none of these things bother you and you’re shorter than 5’11”, this bench is built to last, heavy and has little to no wobble.

After using FID benches for years, I decided to move to a flat bench. The first one I got was okay, but after a couple years, I wanted something that had a wider pad. I bought one that we returned, and the same night we returned it, I ordered this one, the Steelbody Deluxe Versatile Rated 800 lbs Flat Utility Workout Bench. I'll be honest. I've owned a few pieces of Marcy fitness equipment, and they're okay considering price and size, but when I saw that Steelbody ws an Impex/Marcy brand, I had a moment of concern. Still, the reviews were enthusiastic, and the bench looked like exactly what I was looking for, so I thought "Why not?" This bench ticked every box on my list. Our workout area isn't large, so we wanted something not too long, and the pad on this bench is 43", but it's wider than most, which I very much prefer. And it's wider on one end than the other, which makes it more versatile. The pad is firm but has some give on the top, and the cover is fairly thick with some texture. Everything metal is strong and sturdy, and the rubber feet stick to our hardwood floor well. The handle is also well-placed and the wheels work well. And it was easy to build. It has no smell of any kind. In fact, so far this Steelbody Deluxe Flat Utility Workout Bench is exactly what I was looking for. It's comfortable, sturdy and stable, and it's easy to roll to a corner, closet or the side of the room. One side of the pad is 12" wide, the other is 15" wide, and that leads me to one more thing I really appreciate - the description and measurements of the bench are accurate. This is a big thing, as most benches I've tried make inaccurate claims, exaggerate or leave things out of their descriptions. I've been through a number of benches, mostly more expensive than this one, but this one really delivers on what I was looking for. For those looking for a wider flat bench that's sturdy, stable, comfortable and reasonably priced, this is one I'd recommend.

The Steelbody Deluxe Utility Weight Bench is a solid, well-built piece of equipment that’s perfect for any home gym. It feels sturdy and stable during workouts, and the padding is comfortable and supportive. For the price, the quality is excellent and hard to beat. The only downside is that it doesn’t have a decline setting for decline bench presses—but overall, it’s still a great value and highly recommended.

I read several reviews and it seems that some people are way to uptight about minor things that can confuse someone like me that looks to the reviews to help me make a purchase. For instance, people are bothered by the gap between the seat and the back or the packaging it comes in or a minor hint of rust that has no effect on the operation or construction of the bench. Considering the cost of this bench, which I found reasonable, it is very well made. I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband and assembled it our neighbor's house, by myself. I noticed while putting it together that all of the pieces were substantial and well made. Once I was done, my friend's husband, who also works out, checked it out and was quite impressed. I put a big red ribbon on it for my husband Christmas morning and it was a hit. The box it came in was damaged and torn but it did not affect the product - the pieces inside were wrapped in plastic and secured. The day it arrived was a heavy rain day so I can see how the cardboard box was compromised. Again, a minor thing but very pleased with the sturdiness, stability and ease of use of this bench! There is no wobbling from side to side and it has wheels which makes it easy to move around. Now that my husband has had a chance to use it, my review stands! He loves it and says it's a sturdy, well-made bench. He is 5'11" and 170lbs so in his words, he is not trying to bench super heavy, crazy weight. It does the job for him. Overall, would highly recommend this bench!!

Incredibly SOLID bench! The cushion is great and is supportive, high quality and durable. The bench isn’t wobbly and is pretty much a solid rock. The thing that I really underestimated are the wheels. I thought it was some gimmicky thing that wouldn’t be of any use and just be in the way...BOY WAS I WRONG! They are a total game changer! They are in the exact location to balance the bench perfectly when you go to move it, so much that it is feather light! The engineers really did their work with them! You can even set the bench on the wheels end, when your not using it, and it stays there completely supported and not wobbles or anything. I wish all of my other equipment had wheels on them now.! I’ve bought a another bench prior to this one for almost as much money and it’s a POS that’s wobbly w a horrid cushion. I should’ve spent the little extra from the beginning and got this one cause now it cost me almost twice as much, cause I bought that one, then this one. This bench is well worth the investment!
