Is there a reason why only one side (channels 1-4) dont work while the other side (5-8) does? I bought 3. 2 work fine, the third, only half works?!?!

Make sure that you run 12v to BOTH sides of the controller. It sounds like you are only running it to channels 5-8...

I have the black, white, and ground...not sure where to connect the ground wire?

Don’t need to on the input power. Led tape doesn’t use ground.
