I purchased these RENIAN Polarized Film Sheets specifically for demonstrating cross‑polarisation and residual stress analysis, and they performed exactly as needed. Each sheet arrives protected on both sides, and once the protective layers are removed, the film shows a clear and consistent polarising effect. The adhesive backing is helpful when mounting the film in fixed positions for demonstrations, and the 20×30 cm size provides plenty of working area for setting up optical experiments. For stress analysis, the sheets produce clear birefringence patterns when paired with a second polariser and a suitable light source. Plastic samples placed between the crossed polarisers showed stress fringes with good contrast, making this a very effective low‑cost option for teaching or lab demonstrations. The film cuts cleanly, allowing customised shapes for different setups. Do note that the film must be rotated to find the correct orientation for full extinction, which is expected for this type of work. While some users report receiving mixed adhesive and non‑adhesive sheets, my delivery matched the description. Overall, these sheets are an excellent choice for educational optics, engineering demonstrations, or anyone needing a simple and affordable way to visualise stress patterns in transparent materials.

THIS IS NOT FOR 3D PRINTERS? However!
I damaged the screen on my LCD printer and ordered this by mistake as it clearly says not for 3d printers, I didn`t read the add fully so my fault. So anyway I thought why isn`t it any good for 3d printer? It is a polarising filter just like any other. So I went on You Tube and learnt that you need to orientate a polarising filter over the exposure screen until youi achive the greatest contrast. I did this then backed it up just a few degrees cut the film and placed it flat on my LCD screen did not though glue it. Then carried out a cones of clibration test in grey and it was pretty close to perfect so I printed the landing craft you see in the picture, I dropped it and broke the mast! but it looks pretty good. Now going to try a red translucent resin did a cones test exposure sligntly high so doing a second. However to the point this is not for 3d printers BUT it does and still is working on mine. Elgoo Saturn, why is it working? I do not know but it does seem to be I shall of course order proper printer polariser but at the moment its not broke so am not going to fix it. Pictures show the results. My Saturn is printing really well with a sheet of this fitted I don't know why.

Not all self-adhesive!
I've used polariser sheets for years but this is first time I've seen or ordered the self-adhesive variant. Depending on your application, this could be really useful, as it applies well to diffuser plastics on lights. Annoyingly, the supplier sent me 2/3 of my order in plain (non-adhesive) variant and just a couple of sheets of peelable self-adhesive. Frankly it's hard to tell apart just looking at it but clearly someone needs to get their stock cupboard or stock codes sorted out! On a positive note, I was glad to be able to try the adhesive material on a real project and would buy it again. If I need self adhesive polarised again, I shall want to know that I am being supplied what I am ordering!

Product doesn't work
I ordered polerized film in hope to fix my 3d printer after the factor installed polerized film peeled of whilst I was removing an old screen protector when I received the product and installed it onto my printer I tried doing a test print of a 1/12 scale mimban helmet but clearly ad you can see by the photo attached it do anything (if your wondering why the slab of useless resin is so thin compared to what it would look like as a finished print it is because when I noticed I cancelled it).
