Really like this compact emergency radio!
I am pretty impressed with this little emergency radio, especially for the price point! It feels solid & well-made, and has good sound and features for its size. I haven't had time to put it through it's paces related to emergency use, battery use or the solar charging, but if I can pull it out when I need it and the things all work, then it'll (duh) prove itself (and I'll try to remember to update this review when that happens). But for now I liked how the tuner worked and the stations it was able to pick up. The sound was really clear. The crank/generator felt solid and is easy to use. The front flashlight was bright as was the reading light on top. All the controls I found to be simple & clear, plus they had good labeling and felt solid. The radio picked up quite well all bands (AM/FM/Weather). I'm going to put Duracell Optimum AA batteries in it for storage (longest lasting, non-leakers) with my truck's emergency gear . . . may have to get one of these for the wife's car too! The manual is pretty good - fairly comprehensive and the English was at about 97% overall, and pretty easy to figure out otherwise. There's not a ton of features to explain, so it was adequate I thought. (charging lights explanation could have been a little more thorough) Lastly, I like that this has a 1 year warranty. I don't know how good their responses would be to a warranty claim, but just the fact that it comes with a year's warranty says to me a lot more compared to all the units out there that don't list ANY warranty or just have a 90 day, etc. BTW - the manual says the rechargeable batteries are 2500 mAh, which is pretty decent for this size. FYI - the one USB phone charge cable included doubles as a radio unit charger by reversing the cable. But if you want to charge a USB C type phone, then you'll need an adapter (micro USB to USB C).

Garbage
I bought this just in case. Put it in my emergency kit and forgot it. Now that hurricane Hillary is tracking to go directly over our city I dug it out installed batteries and turned it on. It receives a couple of fm and zero am stations which is to be expected these days but the disappointing part is when I select the weather band it receives absolutely nothing. The noaa weather stations are strong signals and it doesn't even sputter a little all across the band. Nothing. So take note: if you're hoping for this radio to Save your bacon you're fried.

Cheap materials.
Spend a little more. Hope this one works if needed.
