Utility Light
I had this light since August 2020, & as the old saying goes, "you don't know how much you miss something till its gone."It had been a great little utility light, with its two different illumination options. Something to aid, you with a head lamp possibly while you were working on a machine.. to help eliminate shadows. The magnetic base had worked pretty decently for most stationary situations that involved the magnet.BUT I am going to tell you what situation it did not work well on.So I was working on an Old garden tractor. And when I say "garden tractor" I mean one of the "White MTD unites" A real "small" tractor. So its ALL METAL.. & I got done assembling some linkage & using the flashlight.. & I stuck it on the fender well. Because.. magnet, and metal. I was like.. "It'll be ok"My famous last words! I should have said the magic words "That's not going anywhere".. that was my biggest mistake.Well as I was going for my joy ride, enjoying the fruits of my labor, my little flashlight, decided it was going to go its on way, & that it did!..I was driving around my property when it was "lost" or it fled... and I can't find the dang thing anywhere. I was hoping since it was a sunny day, that maybe it would "glint" in the sunlight & I could find it.Unfortunately, no luck there either. ..But at least its a pretty affordable flashlight. So, I don't regret my purchase. I just wish I had the fortitude to maybe wrap some reflective tape on the flashlight, maybe some of the good DOT stuff, so that I could spot it easier. B/c its all matte black so, if it falls in a dark nook or something & its not on.... your s.o.l cause it just blends in; Need another flashlight to find it.. lol

Decent, Compact Side-Emitting LED Light
Have been searching for a flashlight like this for over a year. While not perfect it does serve its purpose.Main light is a very strong white light, quite bright. Side lights are a smoky-yellow tinge to them, probably due to the LED and the plastic covering that makes it this way. Lightly tapping the power button does swap the lights, end or side. There are no dimming modes.Pocket clip is of thin metal, with a fair amount of spring to it. However the light did slide out of a pocket and landed on the ground. Am going to need to find a holder for this rascal. The magnet is not very good. It barely holds the light on flat metal. Any metal with a curve or partially set onto the light will fall off. Will see if applying a ore powerful magnet will help improve it. The magnet is okay to pick up a 1/2 inch nut or a steel screw. The yellow rubber sides can slide out if you do not like the color. The battery cage is fair. Inner contact is silvered. Batteries are el cheapo's made in China. Light is probably made there as well.It should serve its purpose. Wished was a higher quality made light like this with the same design, perhaps a better head and tail section to prevent rolling and with a MUCH STRONGER magnet

Perfect for working on ships
I bought this item after a coworker recommendation and man, what a great light, the magnetic bottom is perfect for working on board ships as all the walls and ceilings are made of metal, you can pretty much attach it to anything and it will hold! It comes with 3x batteries that are really strong, but after 2 weeks of intense use they're pretty much gone. If you don't use it often, the batteries may last longer than that. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Disappointed made cheap. 18650 batts will work!!
I purchased this light maybe, 5 or 6 yrs ago and lost it on a jobsite in the middle of nowhere. I was devastated because, I loved it at the time. flashlights and work lights have come along way since then. I remember how durable the light was and the brightness was great, at the time that is... Needless to say it's hard to compare w/today's standards and cant compare to other tactical, EDC , and work lights. It's starting to fall apart the tail cap spring has fell out multiple times on day 1 of use. The magnetic side isnt as strong as the older verison. Will fall easily if bumped.. I was expecting alot more from cat. But TO end this rant in a good note with a little bit of a"want to" attitude 18650 will work in this light. You have to force it just a little. But I used it first with the original battery configuration. I just tried it cause most of those battery pack are relatively close ton 18650 size.It gives more lumens as well. What could it hurt it's a cheap made light and cost efficient.

Good light, plastic battery caddy
This an excellent light, I have 2. I Just discovered that the (3) AAA batteries are held in a very thin plastic caddy. These tend to disintegrate after a few years on cheaper chinese models, making the light utterly useless unless u have an extra caddy or you build one. Hopefully it lasts more than a few years.

Replaceable batteries AAA
Really efficient product. Good quality, durable, magnet on the rear, two light emitting options.Only disadvantage is the size and weight but I guess that's goes together with the durability and the common battery replaceable option. Very satisfied!

Magnet fell out less in than a day
Bright light glad they got rid of the strobe function that was on the last model. But the problem is the magnet it did not last a day plant still mint hung it up on my desk for the night after I received it and found it on the ground next morning. Magnet still on where placed.
