Tombow Mechanical Pencil, Monograph 0.5mm, White (DPA-134A)

This is a very cool pencil. It looks cool, and feels very nice. Despite not having any cushioning around the finger grip area; this ended up being the most comfortable piece of pencil I’ve had the pleasure of using. Thank you very much good sirs at Tombow. I also love the overall design and function: it’s one of those slam fire mechanical pencils; you know the ones where you can shake it off and get lead; don’t really like using that feature at all, but it luckily has a method to administer the leads traditionally: by sliding the pencil’s clip grip down, you get lead. It’s a bit different, but it works. Pencil does have an extendable eraser, but no eraser spares. It also has this bizarre lead lock option by sliding the clip grip up. Doing so locks down all functionality of the pencil, minus the eraser cap. My biggest gripe with this thing is that everything above the mechanical front feels kind of cheap. Many things on the pencil feel like they might break with over exertion; especially the clip grip lead dispenser. So far it hasn’t broken on me; so I would recommend it based on the comfortability it offers; and it looks cool in orange.

Due this thing is so cool to write with. Due to its shake weight you don’t have to press a button to eject led. The metal guarded tip keeps the led sharp even when hitting the ground and the durability is great. In terms of value it’s pretty good. Its size is very comfortable with a smooth grip. 10/10 from an engineering student

Great pencil- nice bright neon. Easy to use- fits nicely in my hand- a little thicker which is wonderful. Will last a long time for sure.

This will be my go to sketching pencil, it's a great quality, it's well balanced and easy to hold, the barrel is a comfortable size and the lead it comes with is perfect for light sketching before laying down more permanent marks. As an artist hand cramping is one of the worst things to experience, this pencil I think will prevent that so I'll be ordering another in each color to make sure I have one nearby whenever inspiration strikes

The reviews are right – this is a fantastic pencil and does the ever-beloved Tombow name proud. I'm a longtime fan of their double-ended pens and never go anywhere without them, so I was hoping for some whole new bar to be set with the pencil. I do like it; it's a cut above the cheaper Pentels I was using, and the shake feature to drop the lead down fractionally is kind of cool. Mainly I like the sleek look of its barrel (I got the white, and it has a nice clean style that I dig). And the lead seriously NEVER breaks. I mean, never. I can bear down with some intensity and not feel that slight lead-insecurity you get with lots of mechanical pencils. BUT. And maybe I just got a lemon. But the eraser sinks. Every time I go to use it, I have to screw the back to elevate it. Thereafter, it retreats of its own accord like a shy turtle as I draw. THIS IS SO ANNOYING. Normally I have a bigger eraser nearby, but for small corrections I like to use the one on the pencil. I don't know if I just got "lucky" with this one or if others have experienced it. Does sort of detract from the whole package – but otherwise I'd give it perfect marks.

This is one of the best mechanical pencils that I have ever used. Most others are too skinny and not at all comfortable to hold and use - others that try to be ergonomic are so fat or oddly shaped that they too are not comfortable to hold and use - but this Tombow Monograph is in the Goldilocks zone, just perfect. I don't particularly care for the 'shake' feature to advance the lead, but the side click using the clip is perfect. Easy to reload the lead once it runs out. Takes standard .5 lead refills. I actually have three of these, one in green, one in yellow and one in orange - I loaded different lead grades in each of them (2B, B and H) for use in sketching and drawing. They also work wonderfully for writing. I highly recommend this product!

I love this pencil a lot. The shake is great if you're drawing and don't want to reposition your hand just to advance the lead.

Kalem bildiğiniz üzere shaker kalem, çizim yaparken kullanılan rapido kalemlerin sallanması gerektiği gibi bu kalemleride aynı şekilde yukarıdan aşağıya doğru salladığınızda uç kendisi çıkıyor veya yan taraftaki klipse basarak da uç çıkabiliyor, yan taraftaki klips hafif yukarı doğru kaydığıldığında shaker sistemini kilitliyor, kalemi sallasanızda uç çıkmıyor. Kaleme uç koymak için, silgininde konulduğu bölümü sıkıca çekmek gerekiyor, kullananlar için oldukça uzun silgisi var, kalemleri çok beğendim, severek kullanıyorum.
