Great safety tool!
I purchased one of these lights back in the winter to use during the storm seasons where I live. I work as a crossing guard at a local school, and during storms and inclement weather, being seen by drivers can be challenging and dangerous to both the children and myself. When I received the package, I opened it to find that this light is actually quite small, maybe only the size of a quarter. Despite this size, it is visible in a wide angle for quite some distance! The ability to switch between strobe and steady is great for ensuring the best pattern to be seen by drivers while crossing the kids. I am able to simply clip this light on my vest, and it works great. I may even get another one for the front of my vest too, just in case. Monsoons here can be crazy, but wearing this makes me feel more secure while I help ensure the safety of the children at the school.I cannot find any drawback to this product, as it works fantastically for my purpose. I would recommend this light to anyone who needs to draw attention in safety-sensitive situations, or in emergencies, as it is bright, small, and works like a charm.

Dependable, nearly indestructable, strobe.
I use this for overnight races which require strobe lights for safety. This product is almost indestructable. I have used it for three years now and haven't even changed the battery. I don't use it very often, but still, three years in storage and still working strong is pretty good. It surives jostling, impacts, mud, water, and the occassional soaking in a muddy water in a plastic bag for a few days after racing before I get everything clean. The clip is strong and it has never come off of any straps I have attached it to. My last use of it was at the World's Toughest Mudder in Las Vegas, which it surived not only dense mud and multiple immersions, but lasted with me crawling over it, and several impacts into deep water from 15ft+ and 35ft. The 15ft+ drops destroyed one of my Black Diamond Headlamps, and the 35ft drop literally ripped the headlamp from the headband. The eGear Guardian stayed put and functioning.

Inexpensive Safety Flasher
This is a very compact, lightweight strobing LED light. It can also be setup to stay on (non-strobe) by removing the domed lens and flipping the battery over. It is reasonably bright, but it'd light output doesn't compare to a navigation light or halogen emergency strobe. There is no switch, to turn the light on you screw the domed lens down until contact is made with the battery. The light wil not turn on if shaken, but it will light if the dome is compressed. Make sure you unscrew the lens enough so that this doesn't happen. A O-ring on the lens seals the battery compartment and also provides resistance so that the lens won't screw down and turn the light on unintentionally. The housing has two slots for 3/4" webbing, or you can snap an included plastic clip into those slots. I recommend not using the clip and threading the housing with your webbing or lacing. Both the lens and the housing are fairly thick plastic and it would take a stout blow to damage the light. The included clip isn't quite as tough, but the times I've used the clip it's held up, although the light has popped off on occasion.Overall dimentions are 1.5 x 1 x 1.5 inches high (with clip. Removing the clip reduces the height to about 1 inch (approx. since height varies as you screw down the lens)I use this for keeping track of young campers at night as they roam around the campsite. I can see other reasonable uses such as jogging and biking safety. They might be useful for night time water sports, but I would be concerned that the brightness is too low for that use.I've purchased several and I am satisfied with their durability and functionality.

Perfect for spotting the dog out on walks
I would love to give this product 5 stars, my dog is a madman and goes off running through bushes, swimming in ponds and rolling in mud and this light has managed to survive most of this. My only complaint is that for some reason the flashing function is not working (by turning the battery over) and so I have to use it on constantly which will mean the battery will not last as long. Otherwise great product.

Hooks perfectly on the FuelBelt fabric-based bottle-holder
I do not know whether this clips nicely on the newer FuelBelt hydration belts, but I can tell you that the clip on the back of this light hooks perfectly on bottle-holders of the older FuelBelt hydration belts -- the ones with FABRIC-based bottle holders. Because the clip has a catch to it, the light cannot accidentally slip off. The light seems to be rain-resistant, and I love the simplicity of how to choose blinking mode versus constant-light mode. I also like that there is no switch; you turn the light on by rotating the bezel clockwise ... and off by rotating the bezel counterclockwise. Finally, I like the yellow, as it seems to catch others' attention better than red does. Highly recommended!

Multi-purpose and pretty foolproof
If you're outdoors and want to be seen, this is a very useful and simple product. I have semi-permanently clipped these to the backs of my bike helmets and shoulder straps of my kayak life vests, just to have them there when needed if the skies darken or you're out later than you thought. Use strobe mode on your bike and steady mode on the water. Always carry one when hiking, just in cast. You might find it helpful to dab a bit (thin layer) of silicone grease on the gasket and threads to keep the on/off twisting easy.I have red, blue, amber and clear for different purposes. Also make great gifts for outdoor enthusiasts.

Longlasting, hardy
These lights clip onto a surface and stay put. You can mount in a variety of ways. Got one on my kayak for night kayaking, one on a messenger bag for bicycling, one on my dog's harness for night hikes/walks... many colors, and uses. Even mounted one inside my Jeep Wrangler, set to steady beam, to use as a cockpit light because there isn't an overhead for the front of the Wrangler. Just glue some velcro (or better still, 3M dual-lock) to the clip, and onto the sunvisor, and you have a natural mounting point. Do NOT pay more than $7. Some retailers want to charge $20.
