The true dimensions are 3/4" wide x 3/4" thick x 5" long. The thickness and width are the same. If you're looking for something wider, we also have a listing for 4" Spanish cedar. Thanks for asking!

5 inches exact measurements are 5 and 3/16" x 3/4 x 3/4

Q: Would these planks be good to use to make the backs and side of humidor shelves?

Probably, they are a lil thicker than most humidors I’ve seen. I’m actually not really using these planks because they are thicker than what I wanted/expected, didn’t pay attention to the description, but still debating on what to do with them.

Q: How many 84% boveda packs if I'm trying to season 20 of these planks?

Depends on the size of the boveda packs. But I just used the regular 69% ones over time and that worked. You might have to “recharge” the packs a couple times, but it works. By recharge I mean when the boveda packs harden, put them in distilled water for a few days and then they’re back to normal (look on YouTube)
