Dell xps 13 9310
This computer has a great feeling keyboard and responsive trackpad which makes it a joy to type on. Battery life is ok, I got about 7 hours of watching YouTube and browsing the web. The overall look and feel is high quality. I think this is one of the best laptop you can buy in this class (13 Ultrabook).

This laptop has issues, Dell knows about them and refuses to do anything about them
I bought this laptop in September of 2021. It ran fine, functioned as any normal laptop, but then in February of 2022--only 5 months later--it automatically updated and when it restarted it would no longer connect to wifi. The icon on the bottom right of the screen to connect to wifi was just missing. The error message I recieved was that the Killer AX1650x WiFi driver was malfunctioning. Upon further investigation, I found out that this is a common problem! Tons of XPS owners have dealt with this, troubleshooted on the internet, asked about it on Dell message boards but to no avail. This laptop comes with a one year warranty, but surprise surprise the warranty does not cover this issue. Dell's next steps for me are to set up a $99 troubleshooting session that is not guaranteed to work. DO NOT buy this laptop, it is a cash grab from Dell. They know about the issues surrounding it and they don't care at all to fix them. You're better off buying from a different brand, as the XPS really isn't that special.

Perfect!
SO SO glad I was able to purchase a Dell and get it to my house in time. My HP kicked the bucket right before a work trip and this computer is a dream. Everything works first time and I love how small it is (easy to travel with). Thank you Dell!

A Solid Work Laptop for Office & Travel
As someone who uses a 13" MacBook Pro as my personal computer, I wanted something comparable for my work set up, which requires the use of Windows to run proprietary applications. The Dell XPS was the closest Windows-based PC that I could find to the MacBook Pro, both in terms of performance and form factor. The Dell has a smaller footprint than my MacBook Pro, which already has a pretty small footprint to begin with. The thinner bezel on the XPS makes the screen look even larger than it is, while also allowing the laptop to be a good bit smaller. The OLED screen on the XPS is very nice, though it can look a little washed out at time. Overall, it's pretty crisp and 4k videos look great. I still prefer the MacBook Pro screen, but I'm not exactly a screen snob. The touch screen seems to do what touch screens do, but I don't ever use it, so I can't say how good or bad it might be on a day-to-day basis. I prefer to keep my hands off my screens. The keyboard on the XPS is nice. There isn't a ton of key travel, but enough that you can at least feel your way around and the likelihood of double-tapping keys by mistake is very slim. Performance-wise, I think it's fine for most of what I do. I believe it is a little weaker in terms of performance than my M1 MacBook Pro, but not by a huge amount. Some applications have trouble opening, Outlook freezes from time-to-time, and I have some hangups with a few Adobe CC programs that I don't get on my M1 Mac, but overall it does what I need it to do at the office. The battery life is pretty weak unless you adjust the slider way down toward the "best battery life" section rather than the "best performance" section. I understand upping performance sacrifices battery life, but even when I'm not all the way up toward better performance, the battery life takes a major hit. The webcam is trash. I'm just going to be honest. I don't really care, because I don't really do Zoom calls or anything like that, but I am admittedly shocked at how awful it is. I dock the XPS at the office and take it with me when I travel, so it's nice to have such a compact laptop with solid (albeit not elite) performance. I still have only heard the fan come on a handful of times, and it's definitely not loud and I have yet to have my thermals get out of whack. Granted, I'm not exporting 8K videos or anything. But for work tasks, I think it generally handles them well.

Amazing laptop.
So far my daughter loves this laptop. It's very fast. Good processing power. Very clean display and it is very thin making it very portable.

High quality ultraportable
I still have some issues adjusting to the keyboard from my airfare pro 7 (which became a brick from accidental water damage). But the machine is very fast and otherwise east to use.

Not good enough!
Less than 3 months and already the “T” key is not working (and of course keyboard is not under warranty). Expected better quality for the price I paid. No wonder Apple products win.

Don’t waste your money on Dell
Wouldn’t buy. The laptop is insanely hot to the touch as soon as it’s turned on. The fan is loud and does nothing to cool it down. I have to turn it off within minutes of using it before it melts something inside. Not very productive when needing to actually use the laptop. Will never buy a Dell again.
