CEB Deep Blue Kids Bible: Common English Bible

A study Bible for preteens and teens
The Common English Bible is written in language that teens and preteens can understand, using words in our present vocabulary. True, there will still be a need to find some definitions, but learning is a good thing. It isn't meant to read independently by children who read at less than about a fifth grade level; however, this means the reader has an actual translation. This is not a story book with just the highlights; it is a complete Bible. This edition of the CEB provides lots of additional information to help young readers understand and think about what they are reading. I purchased this Bible for two youth who recently affirmed their Baptism, so that they can continue to grow in their faith.

Our favorite family bible.
This is a great bible to use with children. I use it with my young kids (3 & 5) as well as with my 6th -12th grade Sunday School class. The intoduction to each book of the bible using historical context is really nice, there are also additional explainations and discussion points through out the texts. As a progressive Christian this is a bible I feel very comfortable with and I'm glad to have it.

Bible looks used
This Bible has been given to my 3rd grade Sunday School students for several years. The content is easy to follow and has many wonderful illustrations. We like giving the same copy to each student so were happy to find them on Amazon and placed another order of 5. When the bibles arrived, they were in less than new condition. They are soft covers so I understand that they are going to bend with use; however, they arrived looking worn out already! The covers were stained and bent. We don’t have time to order new ones to replace these but I won’t order this bible again!

the right choice for now...
Deep Blue CEB is a good beginning Bible for deeper reflection. I got it for an advanced 1st grade reading at 2 & 3rd grade levels & she comprehends well and also will grow into it without being bored.

We personally like "For Girls Only
This was overwhelming for my 8 year old girl. We personally like "For Girls Only! Devotional". It's a quick 15 mins interactive girl's devotional that we do together and discuss afterwards. Maybe when she is a teenager she can navigate this by herself, otherwise it's too complicated for kids to do on their own.

Super Duper Book
I just love this Bible, it's like reading a children's book instead of the Bible. There are Wonderful Characters my group relate to. My group ACTUALLY want to keep reading the Bible. It is a very very good Book

Best children's Bible available
We use CEB in worship because it uses English like we normally speak. That's an even better reason to use it for a children's Bible. And this edition is packed with features geared for young readers,

Kid's Bible review
These Bibles make reading fun. With all the helps and cartoons they can get a lot of additional information. One girl wrote a note back saying, "Thankyou for the Bible. It is so different from other Bibles and I love it."The lists in the back are great for getting kids to know that the Bible is a useful book. A big "thanks" to Amazon for providing such a book.
