Slightly disappointed
While I really like the design of these, the one we use in the downstairs bathroom keeps getting mould on the wooden section. It is cleaned regularly but I have to scrub mould off the sides of the wooden insert. The other does not seem to have this problem. In terms of keeping the soap dry and clean, this has no flaws and the soap rarely sticks too the wood

Not good
Useless. Mashes the soap up & fills with liquid. Very disappointed.

Not very impressed of this product
I really liked the design but unfortunately I put a soap on it and the bamboo drainer did split from the very fist use. Quite disappointed 😔

Non plastic and easy clean
These soap dishes are really stylish looking. The base in both cases is black in the set I am trying and I think that and their simplicity gives then a japanese look .They dont come in a cardboard straw lined box as in one of the pics in the listing , each one was instead plastic wrapped individually and then together in a close fitting cardboard box.The dish part looks like ceramic ,feels like plastic and is neither .The grid part is bamboo and so very water resistant .They are cleverly and neatly made with the grid slotting into the base. You can remove the grid for cleaning. These are just right for those soaps that are a bit softer and need to have air circulate after each use.The bamboo is antibacterial so wont get germy from family use.I love them and think they look like designer pieces.

Stylish non-plastic soap dishes
I do like these soap dishes. The dish itself (white for me) feels a bit like ceramic, but it’s not. It definitely feels sturdy enough to stand up to whatever life is likely to throw at a soap dish. The little bamboo grid sits in it and stops your soap going slimy and horrible. As the dish does not have drain holes, you don’t end up with soap marks on your sink (or wherever you’ve put it) but you do end up with soap slime in the bottom of the dish. This rinses out very easily, and is a small price to pay for having such a nice-looking soap dish.Recommended!

A nice soap dish
This is a nice looking soap dish. The dish itself is somehow (witchcraft?) made from starch and talc. It looks and feels a bit like very hard plastic - but it's a lot heavier than I would expect if it was plastic. The frame inside is made from bamboo coated with a varnish of some kind.I like it. For those that still use soap that is not in a bottle it's a nice product. You get two for your money and the price is OK.I will note that my sample arrived in a simple plain box - not in the fancy gift package that is shown in the pictures :]

Appealing & functional
Although the dish part looks at first sight as though it might be plastic, the whole thing is made from bamboo, starch and talc which is hopefully more eco-friendly to manufacture. The dishes are simple yet attractive and the raised (easily detachable) bamboo grid means the soap doesn't fester in water, as well as being very easy to clean. An excellent product, very reasonably priced.

Classy
Classy bamboo soap dish that will bring some style to your bathroom, or at the very least keep soap scum off the porcelain. The clever construction let's the soap drain as required, while leaving the holder easy to clean as it splits into parts.
