Great headlamp, fantastic customer service.
Princeton Tek makes great headlamps. I bought my first one about 20 years ago and it still works fine. I bought a newer one since brightness and battery life have improved. But the thing that's especially great about Princeton Tek is their customer service. If the light ever breaks they'll send you a new one, no registration required, no proof of purchase, no hoops, just send the light back to them - after talking to them - and they'll send you a new one, batteries included. Unbelievable.

Finally used them and I like them
Finally got a chance to use these and I like them. Fit great, easy to use, stayed in place, lasted a long time on batteries.

Disappointed
I used this for HVAC and Electrician work with occasional camping. I had issues about two months in when the light would intermittently go out despite having new batteries. Customer support was unhelpful telling me to change the batteries again and how to operate the light. It would turn on but then just go out. Probably worn in the wire that connects the light to the battery pack.

The best all around headlamp for me
For many various uses, battery choices and brightness levels this is the best, I think. You can use carbon-zinc, alkaline, Ni-CAD, NiMh, and primary lithium cells. I dislike rechargeable lights if they have a proprietary battery that will need to be replaced when it fails. This headlamp can keep going from cells available at any convenience store, or use rechargeables as well. The photo is mine with Imedion NiMh.The only downside I think is elastic bands on almost all headlamps. They inevitably stretch out as the elastic rots and need replacement. Since they are adjustable, why not make them out of plain webbing? You could still adjust it, take it off to wash and no degradation.

THIS IS THE SECOND ONE I HAVE BOUGHT.
GREAT LIGHT, I LOVE IT AND HAVE BEEN USING THIS MODEL FOR YEARS. I DID NOT REALLY NEED ANOTHER ONE, BUT AS THEY SAY ONE IS NONE AND TWO IS ONE. GREAT FLOOD LIGHT AND GREAT SPOT LIGHT. I REALLY LIKE THE BATTERY PACK OFF OF THE LIGHT. EASY TO USE. QUALITY THROUGH AND THROUGH.

It’s not what it used to be.
These headlamps would last for years in the past. Not anymore you’ll be lucky if it last a few months. This last one is my third this year. The same thing has happened on all of them. A loose connection in the wire right where it enters the light. You can tell it’s made of cheaper materials than the old ones.

Total junk. Customer support is contemptuous of their customers. Seven out of nine of my lights have failed in the last five years. Takes multiple calls and emails to get customer service to respond. They treat their customers with contempt. It will take you many months to get a replacement if at all.
