This book was the absolute sweetest thing to read to my students on the first day of school! We made predictions on what would happen next to determine if we were right!! A great activity to remind students they are not alone and it’s okay to be nervous on the first day!

This is a wonderful book to read on the first day of school! Following our reading, we request that students think of three things you want your teacher to know about you…This activity allows the teacher to learn quite a lot about each student, from if writing is a struggle or comes easy. Th student may shared some important information about themselves; additionally, handwriting. Plus, you can develop a start place for your instructional needs of the class.

The book is very cute and I’m excited to read it to my students next year, but the corner was sadly bent and ripped inside the packaging. My students might do worse damage when flipping pages so I will be keeping it.
