Therefore, the surface area of ??ocarina is small, and many of them have a shape that is difficult to hold. The soprano C tone of NIGHT by Noble has a sufficient surface area and is designed to be easy to hold. With this, there is no problem that the tone hole is not blocked and the pitch is shifted due to finger-to-finger collision. Even men with thick fingers can play without difficulty. ?Good pitch balance You can breathe firmly into the bass, and the treble goes up enough without breathing too much. Isn't it the spec that many ocarina players want? The soprano C tone of NIGHT by Noble is designed so that the bass part can be blown firmly, while the treble part is easy to rise. Also, in the alto C tone, Does the treble fa come out beautifully? Is a big point in choosing an ocarina. So what is the point of the soprano C style? In a general soprano C-style ocarina, I think the point is whether the high-pitched tone comes out clearly or the pitch rises sufficiently. This is the point where I spent the most time developing the soprano C style of NIGHT by Noble. Finally, the finish was convincing, and it was released. ?High-quality texture with rubber finish The rubber finish has a texture that sets it apart from ordinary plastic products, but in reality, it requires very delicate work by skill. Although it was developed in black, the soprano C tone also adopted this rubber finish. ?Specifications Size: 25 x 150 x 75 mm Weight: 80g Color: Black / Rubber finish?Easy-to-hold shape For soprano C tone, the content must be reduced in order to raise the pitch. But I do play flutes and other wind instruments and have a feel for something that has a decent quality . This is a solid little instrument with good relative pitch. I say relative pitch because I have yet to see how it can or even should be played in the pitch suggested (A). I’ve heard it is not tuned to 440mhz, but to my ears this instrument seems to sing its clearest best resonating pitches at somewhere drastically far off from this frequency .. not even close.. but regardless of its failure to fit within a standard pitch model, I think the pitches sound great in relationship to each other on this ocarina… that’s far more important in my opinion . Perhaps other instruments can be tuned to match it in an ensemble, rather than the other way around, if needed.. it’s a fantastic instrument to learn on, and the quality of its tone is really really good. For the high quality tone and the fact that it’s plastic and virtually indestructible , I give this my vote for best affordable ocarina that I can find out there in a cheaper budget Review: Night by Noble is still one of the best ocarinas I've every played. - You're probably here because you've heard that Night by Noble is THE ocarina to buy. It's plastic, it's durable, it's NOT A SOPRANO, thank God, it's light with a slight grippiness, and it's got a smooth and even tone, great for beginners or for masters alike. YOU'VE REACHED IT. YOU'VE FOUND YOURSELF A NIGHT. All of the above is true. While a "master" at playing ocarina may find that this ocarina won't challenge them or that it's not specialized enough, that same master will probably laud the Night for being a fantastic instrument. It's relatively large (especially if you're used to a soprano), but it still fits in your hand; I recommend this ocarina STRONGLY to everyone, but especially for people with larger hands, like me, and people who can't abide loud, high-pitched noises for a long time--like me. Night will absolutely still play loudly and can reach some fairly high notes, but nothing like a wrong note on one of the piercing sopranos you can find. On top of that, Noble is such a well-known and reputable seller, and their instruments of such high quality, that it would honestly be hard to go wrong with this product. Whether you're interested in ocarina because of Legend of Zelda or because you saw it at the Renaissance Festival, you're a nerd (hey, I'm a nerd too--I play LoZ and I WORK at the local Ren Faire), but you're a nerd of good taste, and you should absolutely continue your tradition of good taste and purchase this ocarina. It is a bit spendier than some of the soprano ocarinas or some of the "Legend of Zelda duplicates" around, but it's definitely worth it. Instruments are one thing that you should invest in; you will usually get what you pay for. :) I own over 20 ocarinas and ocarina-like instruments, and this is still one of my very favorites of them all.

THE best Ocarina for beginners (all stages really)! Perfectly in tune and sounds AMAZING!
Look no further, I’ve done all the research for you! This ocarina is perfect for all stages Long story short, I’d done a TON of research before buying an ocarina because there are so many out there and most Amazon brands are badly out of tune. (Seriously do NOT buy a ceramic ocarina from Amazon. Yes they are cheap but they are out of tune ((the only one that could be an ok option is the blue and white painted ZRAGEK ocarina $27) if you’re going to get a ceramic ocarina, (and I’m sure you’ve heard this before) buy from STL ocarina or Songbird (both have a very good reputation from ocarina musicians. However they are more costly so I decided I’d just go for a plastic ocarina. The Night By Noble is what I ended up with because it was like the BEST suggested plastic ocarina by COUNTLESS ocarina players. I had wanted to get a ceramic but I’m so happy I bought the night by noble instead. I’ve dropped this thing so many times and if I’d invested $60-$100 for a good in-tune ocarina it would be in a 100 pieces on the floor by now 😅 This is my FIRST ever ocarina and it’s easy to hold. Looks/feel: Super cool feeling finish, it’s like matte almost and soft making it look like ceramic. ⚠️Does attract fingerprints easily (so I wouldn’t use it as a murder weapon) easy to hold and it’s quite comfy. Has indents for the middle finger sub-hole Sound: PERFECTLY in-tune. Kinda loud but beautiful sounding 🥹 When I first got it, I didn’t know the correct way to play a scale so I was doing everything sorta backwards and I thought the ocarina was out of tune but that was just me 🫣 so DON’T just wing it and try to learn totally on your own. Please WATCH a video, it helped me SO much there’s a lady named Gina on YouTube who teaches ocarina (amongst many other people) and she does a great job teaching the notes (I tried uploading a video of me playing but it won’t let me)

Fine Modern Take on an Ancient Instrument
This item came recommended as a good "first ocarina". The feel is fantastic. The instrument is substantial, but not too heavy to hold, and the finish is wonderful, being more like rubber than plastic. Not the least bit slippery. The instrument seems to be tuned slightly flat, but can be corrected largely with mouth placement and breath. The tone is beautiful throughout the range of the instrument, and the fingerholes are very responsive to glissandos, trills, and percussive strikes. The only drawback to the instrument at all is the fact that, being plastic, it tends to accumulate condensed moisture and require clearing every couple or three songs. On the other hand, the solid, quality plastic used in construction is obviously durable, making this a great instrument to pocket (or pack) and carry without worry. Would recommend this for anyone looking for a good, solid instrument.

As Far As Plastic Ocarinas Go...
It sounds clean and clear, with a pleasant plastic feel. It feels soft and matte, not like ABS, which mattered to me. It would be nicer if the mouthpiece were angled somewhat. Even though it can get very loud in the upper part of the range compared to some of my ceramics, it still retains a noble character.

Bought this for my son as Christmas present. It is light and feels sturdy. I like it as it is not breakable, unlike the ceramic ones.
