RYC Automotive Air Conditioning Compressor and A/C Clutch FG184 (Fits Jeep Liberty 3.7L 2006-2008; Dodge Nitro 3.7L 2007-2008)

I needed a replacement but didn't want to spend a lot of money, stores in my area want $$$ and I just needed one a decent value and this one so far seems to work great. Only used it a select few times so far but its been nice getting nicer cooler air then the non working one i had.

Installed this back in April worked without any major issues through the peak of summer. The last few days could hear a grinding sound upon further investigation it's clear the bearing in the AC compressor has gone bad. Turning on the AC makes the belt smoke and tear apart. There doesn't seem to be an warranty offered. Save yourself the time and money. Buy an actually NEW one from a local parts store since these compressors are notorious for having issues on Jeeps.

Works as it should. Plug was not replaced and seemed to be slightly different then the 1 on my 08. Does not come with the studs for the ac lines so you need to remove those from the old compressor

Finding a inexpensive and quality compressor for a almost 20 year old Jeep Liberty is almost impossible. This car is just for running around town, no long trip.Installed in about 15 minutes, charged it up and works perfectly! You guys will be getting all of my vehicle business moving forward. It worked great for about a month before the pulley started coming apart and rendered undrivable. Spend more get an better item.

I like that it works but again hard to tell how long it will last. I have cold AC at this point. No problems. We will see in a year from now. All I can do is write a review about today.

I would love to give this product a 5 star - packaged well for shipping, price was great, compressor worked well. Pulley rotates nicely but when the clutch engages, the center bolt does not spin true but wobbles with a slight vibration indicating something bent? misaligned? Too difficult and expensive to remove refrigerant again and return from Canada. I expect not too common but would recommend checking this first before going thru expense of the refrigerant.
