SENNELIER French Artists' Watercolor Metal Tin Set, Set of 12, Multicolor

I love French wine and cheeses. Now I have also fallen in love with French watercolor paints. They are a wonderful addition to my watercolor paint palette. They are buttery smooth and sheer like stained glass. I love them! I've been primarily a Daniel Smith user, but now plan to purchase additional Sennelier tubes. My only slight complaint is the metal case. I would have preferred them to be $5 cheaper in a paper box. The case has a metal strip that holds the twelve tubes in place, so you can't place pans or half pans in the case, which is how I like to paint. But such a small complaint for a brand of paint that is a delight to use. This set is an excellent value and less on Amazon that the top three online art supply stores.

Only been painting in watercolor a year. Had been using a mix of Winsor & Newton and Daniel Smith. Those are fine paints as well, but I really like the consistency of Sennelier and the transparency.

Wonderful paints

THIS SET IS SO BEATIFUL TO PAINT WITH! EXCELLENT QUALITY WATERCOLORS!

As a watercolorist, I can say these beat Winsor & Newton, hands down.

They are beautiful paints, very fine and smooth, but I prefer slightly opaque; I thought I'd love these because I felt ready to step out and try something new. These are smooth translucent paints, but I couldn't love them. For me, I can deal with translucent if there's some texture, but these have neither of what I like. But obviously quality and the colors are beautiful. For me, I love Schminke and Daniel Smith, some Winsor Newton, then Roman Szmal and Isaro. These paints were a very different experience.

I love how sennelier proffesional watercolors glaze. They truly are a treat to work with. I bought the 12 color tube set. The colors work well together. Endless perfect mix-ability. I would give it 10 stars if I could. Even the opera rose ( which is usually fugitive) its a great choice especially if you use it in a Etchr 100% cotton Everyday watercolor media journal. Hot press is amazing by Etchr with this paint. The packaging came in good shape and the set also came with a Raphael Kolinsky size 3 precision brush, which I use for line work. Buy Sennelier I switched over from daniel smith and Schmincke .....it's better...

Compared to other brands I have used, I find Sennelier to be of higher quality. Specifically, the paints are easy to rewet after drying on a palette...and this means you can use all the paint and have no waste. The colors are rich and true. Excellent quality.

I’m so glad I got this set and didn’t listen to any comments about the brand. Quality is amazing and it’s highly pigmented and mixes very well. Definitely recommended.
