Best Low to High Brightness Ratio Led Bulb In The Market
Brighter than incandescent bulb but not the Brightest in the market, But most importantly these deserve a better rating because of the fact they have an amazing heat dissipation and also have and amazing low to high brightness difference which is crucial so the drivers behind you know when your braking, But so many led bulbs in the market lack this low to high ratio, not to mention they are cheaply designed and are less brighter than incandescent bulbs

Very bright, no less bright than incandescent
I didn’t do a side by side, but I’d say they’re on par or maybe slightly brighter than the incandescent they replaced. If you’re looking to go LED don’t make the mistake I did, go straight for the zevo line. I originally bought a sylvania bulb, they were round. They were ok. Decided to try the zevo and ordered one as a test, woah. Night and day difference. Much better designed for a reflector housing. They really fill in the whole housing unlike the old round bulb that just kinda made some light. Mind you the round bulb had 6 sets of 3 LED chips! Ordered a second set for the front. Was a little skeptical being these are a single LED chip each side but they have a nice beefy metal heat sink. So long they stay cool they should last no problem. To review the 1157 red bulbs, also very good bulbs. Same setup as the 1156 amber but in red and will do stop/tail. I originally bought Phillips ultinon and boy was I disappointed. They did ok but were noticeably dimmer, especially pronounced side by side to the incandescent they were replacing. Do not bother trying other brands, until they get on the level of the Zevo line by sylvania, spend the money and get the Zevo. I’ve heard the non Zevo of the same style by sylvania are essentially the same however they don’t use a metal heat sink. LED bulbs can run hot and when they do they will not last. These are nice and bright even in direct sunlight. I should have spent the money the first time, instead I spent more than double in the end buying another bulb first.

Vintage Historic Muscle car tail light replacement
I bought these for my 66 Chevelle rear tail light / brake light / turn signal light. One bulb for all these functions. At first the light was bright for tail light and dim for brake. I re seated the bulb with half spin (different polarity?) and it corrected the issue. I also got the red bulb behind the red lens. Brake light and the blinker are very bright. I don’t notice much of a difference from the tail light / parking lights from the standard bulb which is good to have a difference from light and brake light. Happy with these to save as amps and not as hot. No issue with rapid or hyper blinking, works like a normal blinker. I noticed a quicker “on time” for the brake light over the standard bulb. Happy with this for my GM 60s muscle car.Updated: I bought a second set of 1157 LED AMBERs for the front parking/turn lights. These are 60's GM housings where the bulb pushes into the housing (versus rear bulbs that are in a socket that is inserted into housing). The rear 1157 led reds work great, but the front ambers do not work at all. 1) I had to grind off the weld slag, grind some of the plastic collar, and grind down the contacts on the bottom just to get them to fit. 2) once installed they did not work at all. Not on parking, didn't blink. Replaced original bulbs and they worked. So my intention is to leave the 1157 LED REDs in the rear tail lights (where I think I need them more) and leave the incandesant bulbs in the front. That seems to work for now, no hyper blink and brighter in the rear.

Great bulbs but improper fitment for my Harley
The bulbs are great and bright but I bought for my 2015 harley-davidson and they are slightly longer then what is required for standard fitment of bulbs and the lens covers don't fit properly so I'm having to send these back just because of that but other then that they were excellent quality

Underwhelming Performance
These are laughably low output. Sylvania has the audacity to charge $20 for these, which are dim and require load balancers to mitigate hyper flashing, adding to the price. They're easily outperformed by cheap Chinese bulbs that have built in resistors.Left lamp is Oxilam BA15S 1156, right lamp is Sylvania Zevo1156I have no idea who thinks the Sylvania bulbs are bright, but there are better options.Next up, I'll compare the Sylvania 168s against the cheaper Auxito bulbs. Expect similar results.

Brighter than they look
Small but mighty! These are much brighter than even the bulbs with the ring of LEDs and the lens on the end.
