Too heavy for thin hair

Am I missing something? I thought this was an oil. It’s totally solidified inside the bottle and won’t come out. I can’t unscrew the lid to see what’s inside. Tried running hot water on the bottle, but that didn’t help and I’m not willing to spend that kind of time every time I want to put this on my hair. Will be returning for a refund.

Great for hair

Some reviews are saying that it is bad smelling. It is not. It is not a fresh coconut smell but a cooked coconut smell. It's not that strong. I applied it to my scalp in the back of my head and it seems to be helping the dryness of my hair.
