I noticed a message that there are a lot of returns associated with this item. I was going to return mine, too. It wouldn't connect with the oem plastic connector because it has a thin plastic spline that keeps the parts from mating. For me, the solution was easy. I just used a box cutter (razor blade) and shaved off the extra spline. Be careful, don't cut yourself- remove the unwanted spline and viola!- they connect beautifully.

Installed an aftermarket Android on a 2010 Hyundai Tucson IX35, and the Android's GPS antenna wasn't picking up any satellites. I just connected the original antenna to the Android using this adapter. Full GPS signal.

I put aftermarket Android radio in my car and it came with it's own cheap GPS unit. When connected it barely registered 2 satellites and coverage was spotty at best. This adapter allowed to connect car's OEM GPS unit - what a difference.
