Circuit breaker fits Square D breaker box
This is a circuit breaker I'm using for some new wiring in my 1970s home. I assume that it trips at the correct current, but I don't have the testing gear to short it out and verify that. The most important thing with a circuit breaker is that it fits into the circuit breaker box you're using. In this case - perfect fit. I trust the Square D name, and am using their other products in my new wiring.

Nice breakers and reasonably priced.
I have been using Homeline for many years now and have found them to be a dependable and cost effective alternative to the Square D QO… the ones with the read flag in the window. The difference in price on just a single-pole breaker is almost twice the cost of the Homeline. The cost savings in the breakers makes this a very viable alternative, especially when adding a new load center with a large number of breakers, and the load centers are pretty much the same ones you’d get with Square D and the only noticeable difference is the buss bar. I have never known a Homeline breaker failing to trip when I did something stupid. It is a bit harder to tell which breaker popped without the flag but since popping breakers shouldn’t be a frequent event I can live with it. I just replaced a Zinsco panel when I upgraded to a new service and with about 30 new breakers, and twelve were double-pole because of baseboard electric heating, I probably saved about 150-bucks on breakers alone and another hundred on the two panels it took to replace the one Zinsco. The Zinsco breakers never tripped… even when I ran a circular saw over a few Romex lines when removing a roof & dormer for an addition that had some pretty poor wiring. Square D QO is a better product but for residential use I can’t justify the rather large increase in cost to not continue using Homeline. I was an electrical contractor in a prior life and doubt there was a panel or breaker manufacturer that I never encountered and I’d rate Homeline near the top of the list.

Broken on arrival
This breaker came out of the package broken, the switch was not even in the bag. The blades that lock into the bus bar were bent, and the side of the breaker housing was cracked making this breaker useless.

If you need one of these, get one of these
We needed exactly this size and style to add a circuit to an already full panel. Did the trick and has worked fine ever since. Would not hesitate to buy again in the same situation. Note it is the QO "quick on" style. Has a clip instead of a hook. Make sure you know the style of your panel before you purchase.

Ordered "new" and received "used" items
We did order 2 15/15 amp QO tandem breakers listed as "new" and sold at "new" price. The breakers we received are obviously used. This is the first time ever we received a "used" item when ordered as listed "new" and with Amazon's strict policy we never thought this could happen. Since we are pressed to use the breakers due to pandemic necessities and urgency of having proper electrical service we will demand credit for the variations. We will pursue this with Amazon. We will never again by anything from this vendor "Flashlighting Supply"

No deox
I bought these because I couldn't get enough to do an entire panel switch over from Lowes. Covid has caused a shortage of electric supplies. These were ok, but the one thing I found a bit surprising was the ones I got from Lowes had deox on them, these ones did not. Why does that matter? Well two reasons, one with the deox on the ones I got from Lowes, much easier to install, sort of a lubricant, also with the deox, no or less chance of any corrosion in the panel. Other than that they are fine, you can add your own deox before install

VERY good value! This set-up would also work great in ...
This particular assembly features two (2) separate 20-Amp breakers in a single enclosure that is exactly the width of a standard Square D QO circuit breaker. Although the back of the assembly isn't shown, it has a pivoting metal "hook" at the bottom that you engage before plugging the top of the breaker (which has a metal yoke type, plug-in connector) into the panel before it snaps firmly in place. This breaker will not fit the older Square D QO panels that us bolt-in breakers. I installed two of these tandem breakers in a compact Square D subpanel in my garage that had two breaker spaces and was rated at 60-Amps. The subpanel is a Square D QO2LL60NBNM QO "60-Amp, 2-Space 4-Circuit Outdoor Main Lugs Load Center w/ Non-Metallic Enclosure and Neutral ($27.27 current price on Amazon). So, now I have an outdoor subpanel with (4) 20-Amp 120v circuits at a material cost of a little over $65.00. VERY good value! This set-up would also work great in a detached shed, guest apartment, studio, shop, etc. Remember to bond the subpanel to the main breaker panel.
