Good ingredients. Great lather and slickness.Cannot stand the smell.I've lived in the woods for days, wiped my butt with leaves and eaten squirrel I've killed and cleaned myself.Not much bothers me, but this Pine Tar smell does.Doesn't smell like any pine tar soap, any bit of any coniferous tree (alive or rotting) or any bottle of discount pine scented cleaner I've ever smelled. All of the above smell better than this soap IMO.Some seem to like it. Not me.

I've been using Grandpa's brand Pine Tar Soap for some time - pine tar products should smell earthy and campfire-y - more like the resin of a pine tree than the sharp scent of pine needles. This product smells like Pinesol. If you like that smell, you'll love this shave soap. Returned immediately.

I really enjoy the simple smell and it only has an aroma when you are shaving not long after; it smells like a pine tar soap. The shave is unmatched by other brands I have tried.

Just like their other soaps, this one has become another of my favorites.

Smelled horrible

If you like baseball, you will love this. It smells just like pine tar because pine tar is all that’s in it. As the seller states, it doesn’t smell like pine trees; you have to smell it to understand - tar, grime, wood, pine, and grit...love it. It’s also one of the best performing soaps I’ve had...loads easily with a rich thick lather...will buy as long as it’s sold

Awesome stuff will buy again

I have all the Chiseled Face line. This is the only one I don't like. Smells like pine sol. Was hoping for a smell like that of Grandpas pine tar...smokey.
