South Shore Step One Platform Bed, Full 54-in, Pure White

Love this bed for our 3yo. It is short enough for her to get in with no problem. Also if she does happen to fall out, it's not very far to the floor. Set up is a 2 person job. Some of the pieces were damaged during shipping. I called customer service and they had no problem sending replacement pieces! Wonderful customer service!

I purchased this bed frame thinking it was very neat, clean, and sturdy. Assembly was for the most part simple, but simple doesn't mean sturdy. The mattress (in this case a queen size) that 2 people sleep on is supported by 5 long and wide pieces of what appears to be particle wood as described. These are used as the immediate support for the mattress and are held up on the sides by the outer frame seen with the black lacquer. The inside part of the outer frame holds these plywood boards in place with a smaller piece of wood that stretches the length of each side of the outerframe.Now for the really bad part. These main boards that hold up the weight of the mattress and at least 2 people are supported by only 4 pieces of 2x4 wood pieces that stretch horizontally across the bed if you look at the bed from the headboard to where the foot of the bed is. These pieces of wood hover in place by 8 plastic (4 on each side)slats that are supposed to allow the wooden rebars hold everything above it in place. The pieces of plastic were screwed into the long pieces of the outer frame.Now NOTE: the wooden rebars have nothing to support them besides air and 2 small pieces of wood that attach to the underside of them. According to the design manual, they should be in the 2 center wooden rebars. Unfortunately these wooden supports can be bent over time with movements of the bed and cause the bed to make squeaky sounds which are: the wood bending against the plastic supports and the bent wooden support rubbing against the floor everytime you move around at night.Eventually after 3 months of using it (barely everything was so annoying)the bed broke as one of the corners broke away from the outer frame (the corners holding the outer frame were "locked" into place with 4 locking screws. 3 out of 4 wooden rebars snapped in half and the outer frame cannot be put back together. This happened when my girlfriend and I were sleeping (not the most exciting way of waking up).OVERALL:assembly required with tools (I had them so it wasn't a problem for me but seems to be with other reviews)poor designcheap materialsfalls apart.DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.spend your money elsewhere. (this was not a cheap bed frame) considering I could've bought 1 for 100$ and it might've lasted me the same if not longer.

This bed is sturdy for the price and easy to assemble. I gave it two stars because the corners are shin killers. My husband, daughters, their friends and I have all gotten horrible bruises from the sharp corners on this bed. If you do not need white, I would highly recommend the Zinus bed instead since it has rounded corners. We ordered this for our other daughter and she likes it much better. If you are not buying this bed for active children and are generally not rushing around the corners of your bed this might be fine.

Good product. Assembly took sometime and ended up using a power tool even though on the directions it says not to but the wood was way too hard for a screwdriver. This is a pretty heavy product so if you are looking for a lighter bed frame id suggest not to go for this one. I thought i would have more space under the bed for storage but only measures about 6 inches from the ground. It also is a little too wide for my twin mattress but overall it looks amazing and is very sturdy.

This bed is just as it looks online and was super easy to put together. It took me only about 1/2 hr to do and it is sturdy and nice looking. The box itself is heavy so you will need to carry the pieces up to the bedroom one by one. I recommend this bed to anyone.

I searched for weeks for a bed, and originally planned to buy an Ikea bed that was sold out and wasn't coming back. Be warned, this is a bit of a rant review, and I never ever do that, so please fasten your seat-belts and use the headrest...All said and done, this is a cheap bed, and is adequate for my desires/needs. Assembly wasn't difficult but service was a pain because my kit was sent with 3 legs that weren't drilled properly. Actually--- they weren't drilled at all.I contacted the manufacturer per the instructions in the kit as you'd expect: "If you have questions or problems DO NOT contact where you purchased it, call this number or email!"I emailed.I was told that I had to get my replacement parts from where I bought the bed.I contacted Amazon and was told that they did not have access to replacement parts ( I was not surprised ) but they offered to replace the entire bed. It's a 130 pound long box. For 3 legs. That seemed excessive to stay home all day for UPS as I have no drop off on a city street, haul 130 pounds up, replace, try to repack the puzzle, haul back, etc. I just wanted proper legs.All said and done, Amazon refunded the whole cost of the bed, the manufacturer is supposed to be sending me legs though I haven't seen them yet and no shipping info. Amazon also recommended that I could order a second bed, take the legs out, and ship the rest of the kit back so I had a complete bed. They also gave me $20 for the incident. I did order a second bed at my cost, which will be returned, and it hasn't arrived yet. I drilled the bad legs and while the bed has been slept in a couple weeks, I treat it gingerly as the first time I tried to move it closer to the wall, the entire bottom legs and board fell off... :x It's only a temporary fix until I receive the properly drilled legs.A lot of times "one off" experiences like this don't figure in to my thoughts about a purchase unless a lot of people have the problem. In this case no one else has reviewed the bed, so I wanted to share my experience: Think twice before ordering large furniture online (I've since read other stories about problems with couches and other large things) and if you are willing to take the chance do so knowing that you may have some weeks invested in getting replacements or replacement parts.Don't consider it a warning, just a little more information to consider :) I rated it 3 stars because, if I had received the legs properly I may have rated it 4. But I don't know how frequent this issue would be and getting it resolved what a semi-nightmare, so 3 seemed appropriate. Feel free to ask any questions below and I'll try to respond ASAP.

It's nothing fancy. Simple & does the job. Minimalist. I wish I had gotten a headboard though because pillows get pushed in the crack between the bed and the wall.

Fell apart after 3 days.

I loved that it was mostly easy to put together but on some areas there was needing to use a drill for the screws to go in, so my hands (using only a screwdriver) were sore by the end of it. But it looks great and love it
