I use this fine mesh strainer inside my Cuisinart MultiClad Pro 3 quart saucepan for rinsing quinoa, rice and wild rice. I have tried other tools intended specifically for that purpose, but frankly I have yet to find anything that does a better job than this setup. You could substitute another saucepan or a bowl of they fit the strainer, but it is the double fine mesh of the Walfos strainer that lets you rinse small grains without some of them draining out through the holes with the water.

Nice little tea strainer for the price but the stainless steel is not 18 eight or 1810. I would recommend for the price though.

Three years later it broke. The welding of the handle onto the bowl is kind of small. I realize I shouldn’t have whacked it against the sink to dry it but … well, those things are supposed to be sturdy and last a lifetime. Other than that I liked it. It works great for rice and quinoa and small things that a regular strainer would let through. I’m still using it, just without the handle, while I ponder my next move. I think I need to find one that is made so the handle is one piece with the rim. That’s a pretty small area to take quite a lot of stress. Even without whacking it.

Works as intended. Good quality. Would recommend and purchase again. I'm actually using it for a rain water watering system cover for my quail. It acts as a screen to keep debris out of the bucket that catches the water. But it strains well too.

Just the right side for one cup of tea. Really like it.
