Read micro SD on Laptop that has no SDcard reader
When I wanted to copy files from a micro SD card to my new Laptop, I soon learned that this laptop doesn’t have a SD card reader. I assumed a SD card interface was standard on a laptop. When I dug into my drawer full of old USB stuff, I found an old SD to USB device from BlueProton. I remember that old device (from 2009) that could transfer a micro SD to a USB connection. Since 2009, there have been several changes to USB as well as SD interfaces. My old BlueProton didn’t work to read a new micro SDHC on USB 3. A quick search on Amazon found the new replacement model BlueProton. This one can read both micro SD and full size SD cards. The transfer seems quick over USB 3. This is just what I needed.
