These are the correct size and weight for practicing and dry fire.

These are great for practicing. I haven't had any feed or eject issues.

They do what they are supposed to do.

Besides the basic functionality provided by these snap caps (ability to dry fire the weapon safely and without firing pin damage), these blue-colored metal snap caps (I bought them in 12 GA and 9mm) have a weight and "feel" similar to live ammo and, beyond the appearance and heft, give a fairly realistic operation (chambering, ejection, etc.), which I think is beneficial in performing practice tactical reloads. I bought another brand of snap caps in .30 carbine caliber and, while of the correct size and functional to some extent, they are plastic and far too light to use in practicing tactical reloads (ie: swapping partially spent mags for full mags, etc.). Cheap plastic snap caps are not likely to feed, chamber or eject very well, and certainly not for very long. Their bases quickly get chewed up by extractors.

These are good, but like most say, these damage easily. You really only notice the scratches because the blue comes off. These could just be unpainted and you wouldn't notice the scratches

I found practicing with these blank shells improved my loading time by 500%. OK, so I wasn't very proficient to start with. But, seriously, it took me from pathetic to respectable in 3 days of practice. Purchasing these stout metal shells were an absolutely important accessory for my first shotgun. It's one thing to practice gun safety and target proficiency; I have since learned it's another to build the muscle memory so loading can be done even when adrenalin's flowing.

Work well and cycle in my Maverick 88. Came to me a little beat up but I assume it’s from testing at the factory before they’re shipped, as well They’re bound to get beat up anyways as I train with them. All in all, they work and earned the 5 stars.

They wear off real quick. Think maybe thousand load and eject dry fire sequence across all five shells.Not to be mistaken, they do the job - but they wear off really fast, and for the price, something that does not last long, is not particularly impressive.
