This cable will not work with Mics that need phantom power, however, it works great with mics that don't need it. It is well made, and a good bargain.

It's hard to find a good usb to amp plug on amazon, as they all have low/few reviews. This was the first and only one I bought, so I have nothing to compare to, but it does not have any feedback or sound problems. The cord is long and durable. I would recommend this product to others.

What I like most is that I plugged in the microphone and it worked perfectly right away. I am using it to take my flute lessons online during the pandemic. I only needed to select USB Microphone after I plugged it in to override the internal microphone. With Internal speakers selected on the computer for output, I tested the microphone and the sound was present and clear. I am using the cable and microphone on a Macbook Pro with Catalina 10.15.3 operating system. The Converter Cable itself is a quality made product. You can see that the moment you take it out of the packaging. The cable arrived promptly, a few days after I ordered it. I am very pleased!

The product seems built well enough so no complaints. Also, I'm not using third party software (eg. ASIO4ALL, a DAW, etc) so I'm not going to address those. I simply wanted the cable to act as an input for my Bass (or Guitar) so I could play along with the music on my computer. I had problems getting to do that tho. When Win10 loads the drivers for the cable it recognizes it as not just a USB Mic but also as a USB Speaker. So I had to disable the Speaker output designation (it's in the Sound settings Playback tab). That was the biggest hurdle. Once I did that then things started to fall into place. Nonetheless I still had to tinker with Win10 to get both the Bass and music to play out simultaneously to my headphones. Be sure to put a check mark in the "Listen" box for the USB Mic (in the Sound/Recording tab). Then fiddle with the levels to make it happen. I got rid of a lot of latency issues by uncheck various 'enhancements' in the Advanced setting for the USB Mic. Anyway, it did finally work properly and I'm up and running.

Worked right away with windows 10 and Samson Q2U (dynamic microphone), the only problem is that it has the hisss sound when mic is on 100% in windows settings, i changed it to 85% and there is not more hissss. Very please with it so thank you very much :)
