Fantastic kit it did everything I needed it to do

I bought the WDSHCR Drywall Repair Patch kit not for drywall, but to help combat a persistent woodpecker issue on the exterior of my home. I had a few areas under the eaves where these birds were pecking holes through the siding. After some research, I needed something durable, easy to apply, and strong enough to discourage them from coming back. These 8x8 self-adhesive patches were exactly what I needed. The aluminum backing made them super sturdy, and the fiberglass mesh provided extra hold and coverage. They stuck well to the primed surface and blended in nicely after a bit of sanding and paint. It fell off very easily. I made sure to clean and dry the section of drywall where I was patching first but it just started falling off when I applied the spackle.

Its not the products fault. The process itself is not easy. The edges of the scraper will leave creases as you try to patch the hole so that the wall looks ''balanced''. Its extremely difficult and your hand shakes so its not gonna be perfectly even. Yet its good enough if you really need to patch a hole. Just don't expect a seemless end result. Its just not possible. Balance your expectations. Its just part of the process. Its not the product, its human error.

This was so easy to use. The patch size was perfect for the hole (created by the door knob being slammed into the wall), and the patching material was easy to apply, dried quickly, sanded up smoothly and once painted, the patch was difficult to detect.
