Not good quality. Waste of money
Terrible quality. Doesn’t work well and the parts do not work properly

Cheap, not very cheerful?
It's completely made of plastic - including the blade. I didn't have a carrot to hand for the "demo" so I used a toothpick - that was enough for it to shatter into pieces. It does work, but because the sides are transparent it is possible to see the way the blade moves, and thus how the trick operates. Might be OK for kids and I suppose it isn't costing the earth, but hard to recommend with the build quality being what it it.

Awful. Self destroyed on first cut
The finger guillotine was one of my favourite magic tricks as a child. Played with it so often my performance was polished, to the point Penn and Teller would have struggled to surpass it.Then I grew up and forgot about it. Searching for Christmas gifts I was so excited to come across this and knew I had to buy it for my young nephew. My preparation was fine. Declining hot dog sausages as they are too soft and make a mess of the blade, mini carrots (blanched to exquisite perfection to ensure they were soft yet retained their shape) were chosen as the sacrificial objects. Soon I was to display the power of the contraption I would be putting my finger in!I ramped up the anticipation in my nephew. Eyes wide, he was a bundle of excitement, desperate to see the carrot meet its fate. The scene was set, the carrot placed within the guillotine, the crowd eager, and then the blade was sent hurtling toward the carrot. As soon as the blade made contact the stupid thing cracked open and the flimsy blade buckled and popped out, fracturing the hinge point making repair impossible.Do not recommend.

Damaged and terrible quality
First one I purchesed was falling apart when i got it. Used super glue on it now it wont work. Very poor quality. Second one is the same (falling apart) abd damaged (cracked) as well. Amazon take note a cardboard envelope and 2 plastc bags does not protect fragile items.

Why does everything have to be plasticYou can see what the blade does so spoils the trickPricey for what it isNeeds to be made strongerNeeds to be made of wood

Cheap plastic
I bought this as a bit of fun as I used to have one as a kid. However this is virtually unusable as the plastic is so cheap and badly made the 'secret' bit catches on plastic burns making it pretty useless.
