Great battery life, account set up and support
Battery life: amazing, even my older children couldn't believe that tablet of this size could last that long on one charge.Children account set-up: content is age appropriate, game suggestions were a bless as I didn't need to get into it on my own. My 3 year old could easily work it out independently and I was at ease while he was picking his own apps. Any major changes must be done by logging into my account, what is amazing. Easy to use.True, if offline, there's not much of use unless hotspotted to my mobile phone, but one can easily get used to it, once logged in will connect automatically but content can be downloaded prior to for example a longer car ride you can stack up on cartoons, there's definitely enough space.I bought the case as well and a screen protector. My 3 year old turned out to be quite inventive and cracked the screen nonetheless. However he's done it, I think in that case it was one in a 100 chance of it happening as it's so robust. We used the tablet till it worked but one day it switched off (no wonder) permanently. I have been sent a replacement. I received a refurbished same model what I found to be a great idea, reducing the electrical waste and it being a replacement for a damaged tablet, I think it was a very fair and reasonable replacement. The only thing, it came without the case or a charger with which I have send back with the damaged tablet. I would like to have heads up regarding as I could leave the items that didn't come in the return. I have purchased the same case nonetheless as I still believe it should be the best protection available and this time I have bought tougher, glass screen protector. For a little child I think this is the best tablet with minimal supervision needed once the account is set up, seems to be very secured for content and extremely robust.

The best tablet for kids
My sons been using his tablet for a year now and I have to say it’s just amazing ! Having had iPads for my older two sons I far prefer the kindle it’s content is age appropriate which I love, it’s simple to navigate, battery lasts ages, the cover has saved it so many times from being broken and it’s included, the screen clarity is amazing as is the sound quality. My sons learnt so many things from the education apps all included in the Amazon kids subscription. It’s well made we’ve had zero issues and if you can get it on prime days / Black Friday it’s an absolute bargain! He’s had this from being 2 years old and I would highly recommend it.

Great buy
Wanted something for our 4yo who’d been using my iPad and was struggling to find free suitable games and educational apps for her.Went for this as it offered all the educational apps I was looking for, plus a safe environment with no YouTube etc. Plumped for a 10” screen which is close to the iPad screen size and worth the extra £60 if you have it (IMHO).We added Netflix and Disney as she watched that on the TV already.Experience so far has been excellent. She loves all the different apps and we hope it’s less breakable than my iPad (we get a free replacement in first two years anyway 😊). Subscription of £4pm will kick in next year but that is still great value given it includes some apps you would pay that much for anyway, plus all the audible books etc.Would strongly recommend compared to using an adult tablet for a kid.

Screen time restrictions and limitations - and you can get YouTube!
I was sceptical about getting a tablet for my 3-year-old though we now live in a tech-savvy world - they even use tablets at her nursery! So, after much deliberation, we chose the Amazon Kids 10” Fire Tablet. With the added benefit of the 2-year guarantee, this was a no-brainer when it comes to an expensive purchase.I bought the tablet back in October 2022 as it was on offer for £129.99, cheapest I've ever seen the 10" go for. Pretty sure it was either better or the same price as the Black Friday sales, either way it was on our list to get our daughter for Christmas so I couldn't miss it. It also came with 1-year free Amazon Kids subscription too - bargain! We waited until Christmas Eve to set the tablet up and it automatically started the Amazon Kids subscription from then, which was unexpected but very much appreciated, great that we didn't lose out on 2 months of it being just sat in a cupboard doing nothing. The set up was very easy and straightforward, just simply followed the step-by-step guide it took us through.I LOVE that you can set time restrictors and limitations to ensure they're not getting too much screen time. This can be set differently for weekday vs. weekend. Once they have reached their time limit or the time restrictions (i.e. 7pm), it automatically turns to a screen saver that says "That's enough for today".I have been rather surprised with my 3-year-old who has taken this extremely well, she understands when it is time to come off and there aren't any arguments. For all those saying you can’t get YouTube – YOU CAN! And it isn’t too much of a hassle either. You just need to switch over to the parent profile to download and share it. There are plenty of YouTube videos you can follow to help set it up. Be mindful, there are a couple of options as I downloaded one which is Amazon’s version (still good but just less choice of videos), but my husband managed to get the full version on it also – couldn’t explain how though I am sure he just followed another YouTube video. All in all, this was a great purchase and something which my daughter thoroughly enjoys. Great this will grow with her too and that should we ever need to, the choice is there to switch over to the adult profile and use as I wish also.100% recommend.
