Why did you pick this product vs others?:Right length

I like these for reasons of trying to reduce use of plastic straws and these are of a nice width. It is difficult to get used to the metal feel and I worry about breaking a tooth if attempting to use, say in a moving vehicle or golf cart. Otherwise I like them.

I found a good tumbler thermos that I absolutely love, but lost the straw. Other commercial straws are simply not long enough, but these straws were not only perfect, they are nigh indestructible. It took a little getting used to for awhile, because of course they conduct the cold (or heat) and putting your lips on them might be a shock (haven't really tried hot drinks yet. But I like them and they are just right for a tall thermos or tumbler.

I don't know why it didn't occur to me when I bought these, but they are very good at conducting the temperature of your drink (in my case, ice cold) to the end of the straw. And it just isn't a very pleasant sensation touching something that cold to your lips. I'm sure part of the problem is attributable to the fact that I'm drinking out of an insulated tumbler, so the drink and the bottom of the cup stays cold. I can't imagine the burns you'd get if you tried to drink hot tea or coffee through this straw.So, while it's a nice idea (you can disinfect a metal straw easier than a plastic one), it really only works well for drinking room temperature type drinks.

I wanted a good stainless straw for my desk cup, which is a tall 28 oz cup. These fit perfectly, clean easily, and work great!
