Gloomhaven Cephalofair Games: Jaws of The Lion Removable Sticker Set & Map

This game is awesome. All of the fun parts of Gloomhaven, without the setup. I recommend trying this first, and if you like it then getting the larger game.

Gloomhaven Jaws of the Lion is a fantastic entryway into the Gloomhaven Universe. As part of play, you are making changes to maps and other game features that would normally be unchangeable. The Removable Sticker and Map set, allows you to track your adventures and then remove the stickers to reset for a new campaign. Excellent value that extends the life of your game.

We just finished Jaws of the Lion and are so in love with the franchise that we jumped right in to Frosthaven. For anyone looking to play Frosthaven or Gloomhaven, this is your starting point! Starting Frosthaven having not played JotL would have been incredibly confusing. Treat JotL as a full tutorial for the bigger games or as an inexpensive way to try out the franchise. The amount of game you get for the money here is incredible! We played every week for about four months to knock the full campaign out. The components are well made and durable and the characters are all so different in how they play. We love how they are not structured like stereotypical tank/DPS/healer builds. While some are clearly better at certain things than others, you can play even the “healer” as a front line fighter or ranged damage dealer if you’d like. While this gaming system is not for everyone, I would highly recommend it for anyone who is into board games. It’s not that much of a commitment if you have a steady group and you’ll be able to say that you’ve played one of a series of world class games.

Fun game you can play again and again. Trouble is you have to play every week or you forget all the rules. Great game for D&D fans. Probably better with 3 or more players. Game and pieces very professional.

Backstory: I grew up playing DnD. I tried mightily to get my family into the game but they really couldn't get into the fluid nature of the game. I asked them what they liked and they replied that they enjoyed the combat, the strategy, and some of the character building but not the endless tracking of character traits, equipment, spells, etc. I did some research and landed on this game. So far, it's a hit. It does take a bit of time to setup up (at least an hour), and the first scenario is a bit confusing, but once you get going it's a blast. I would highly recommend playing the first scenario once, and then figuring out what you did wrong and play it again. The second time around it clicked for everyone and since then it's been smooth sailing.

It teaches you the rules gradually and is a nice introduction to the system. It can be used as an expansion (parts of it - which are indicated in the book), to regular Gloomhaven.

Not what is advertised / implied. This is the very same sticker set you get with the game, but with a very + very thin sheet of clear vinyl glued over the original sticker set. I was expecting all vinyl stickers that can be used over and over again, it's not. Once the "paper stickers" under the very thin vinyl stop being sticky they won't work anymore. This is simply an extra set of stickers.

I believe this is a much needed add on for replayability. It is easy to use as well as reusable.

A good quality product, stickers are thick and peel easily. My only real issue is you don’t really need this!! It’s just stickers for the map and 4 for re-sealing boxes that don’t really need re-sealing. You can play the game without adding stickers to the map as the map isn’t really part of the game. So a slightly wasted and expensive for what it is purchase (paid £15.40, double that of other retailers but we needed it quick before going on holiday) but will aid re-sale if we don’t like the game.

Für Pranken des Löwen eine super Sache. Die Sticker haben eine gute Qualität. Und auch wenn der Preis etwas teuer sind sind sie das Geld allemal wert. Immerhin schütze ich damit mein Spiel.
