After using for nearly 3 weeks during warm weather, they performed as expected. I haven't experienced any issues with the coasters not absorbing.I selected a lighter color so I'm not surprised they stain easily. It's a porous stone that's intended to absorb liquid, so it's not very easy to remove stains. But I've found it's easier if wiped away when the spill or stain is attempted to be removed as soon as it is made. Next time I will order a dark colored coaster.I was aware water absorbing stone coasters are fragile to a certain extent and they aren't sealed because how else would they absorb the liquid otherwise. However, these ones felt thinner and much lighter in weight than I was expecting. A minor inconvenience but the holder for the coasters is a bit narrow. Ensuring I tilt the coasters at just the right angle so I don't scrape the edges is something that will eventually become muscle memory....I assume.

These will last a lifetime!

These coasters are pretty nice. The cork on the bottom grip tables well and liquid does absorb into the ceramic material.However, there is one drawback.Because these coasters have a very smooth surface to put your drink on, they have a tendency to creat a suction cup effect. This will most likely happen when you have a cold drink. Condensation will form on the outside of the drink and water will drip down the side and onto the coaster. That liquid will easily form a seal between the bottom of the drink and the coaster due to the coaster’s smooth surface. Cold air will be created and trapped within the seal underneath the drink. Cold air has less pressure than warm air and thus will create a small vacuum. As a result, this will cause a cold drink to stick to the coaster as you lift the drink up. The coaster will fall shortly after and cause a loud noise, possibly breaking a glass table top or the coaster itself.This is something to consider before buying. This could be avoided if the coaster didn’t have such a smooth surface or if the material could absorb liquid more rapidly.

These are great, granted I’ve never owned a set of coasters in my life that weren’t Star Wars related, but they seem like great value for the price. No dripping anywhere.

They are coasters. I think the screen print on the top is of decent quality; not patchy or blocky but clear and clean -- from a distance (a few feet) you might think it was real marble. Absorption is so-so, I haven't used them outside to truly test but inside when it is a bit humid, water doesn't seem to roll off which is a good thing. The only complaint I have (hence the 4 stars) is the condensation creates a seal between the bottom of a glass and the coaster; meaning, when you pick up the glass, the coaster comes along -- or, worse, falls off onto my coffee table. Not a huge deal, just have to be careful.

Maybe I’m being too generous by giving these coasters four stars. They look gorgeous. They feel heavy and substantial in the best way. They are completely non-slip. BUT they are very, very easily stained by any colored liquid they come into contact with. My wife and I have had them for a month, and half of them are already permanently stained by coffee and black tea. Bummer.

I’m not able to comment on the absorbency or the easy to clean, but I thought these were going to be a little on the heavier side…. I’m not disappointed in them one bit. They are pretty and I’ll be keeping and using them.

These coasters look nice and I love the price for 8 of them. The cork bottom is nice and prevents scratches on surfaces. They don’t stick to cups from condensation like glass coasters do. I struggled to decide on an appropriate rating because these coasters stain terribly and do not seem to wash off/wipe off, even if you quickly catch it. Somehow I always end up with coffee rings around the base of my cup and it has completely stained the coaster. I think these coasters need some type of seal on them to prevent that and make them easy to clean. I’ve only had these a few months and some just look disgusting and aged with the coffee stains on them already. I may go back to my glass coasters that are easy to clean, but annoy me when they stick to the bottom of the cup from the condensation.

Left marks on after use,unable to clean, a waste of money!
