I've kept something like Anbesol or Orajel on hand for years to help with occasional gum irritation and tooth problems. I don't have to use it often, but when I do, I'm in no mood to go shopping for it. Unfortunately, those teensy little tubes and bottles of the brand names often run about $8 at the drug store, so I usually find myself buying the store brand or whatever is on sale. Needless to say, there was no way I was going to pass up getting 3 full-size tubes for the price of 1, and since I've used this brand before, I knew it would work well.This gel doesn't have the color or super-strong medicinal flavor of Anbesol, though there is a not terribly pleasant taste at first. It begins numbing tissue the second it's applied, and lasts for a good 20-30 minutes, after which it wears off so slowly that I don't even notice for a while. With 20% benzocaine, it's just as effective as Maximum Strength Anbesol and twice as effective as the regular strength.The packaging is a bit different than what's shown here on Amazon (as of 05/26/2017), but it's the same stuff inside. And the batch I received doesn't expire for another two years, so the crazy-low price isn't due to old product or anything.If you deal with pain from braces, dentures, or cavities that need to wait until your next paycheck to be addressed, this little gel is a lifesaver.

I love this stuff. Even though it tastes terrible it works. I just love how it gets shipped. I wish it had a color to it so it would be easier to use.

Tastes terrible but I think it works better than travel. And half again as big a container at one third the cost

I have a cracked molar with root exposure and prior to ordering this gel, I was legit considering trying to pull the molar out with pliers. Thankfully common sense took over and I ordered this gel to hold me over until I can get to see the dentist.This gel is clear, and while the taste isn’t exactly pleasant, it dissipates quickly as it numbs the area where it’s been applied. It last for quite a while as well, which is great. Definitely something to have on hand for emergencies as this helps relieve pain tremendously. Very happy - this gel has been extremely helpful.

The purchase was delayed several times, even though I needed it a long time before I got it. Also, the package was destroyed, but the merchandise inside the box was not damaged.

I fell, ended up with stitches and a dental cap knocked loose. This helps has been a godsend.

I'm pleased. There's a two (2) year expiration date. I ordered this in 9/2023 to keep in my medicine cabinet just in case. It arrived today, 10/2/2023, with an expiration date of 09/2025.The tube is sealed. (I presume you open it with a clean needle.)The box was slightly torn in transit, but that is okay with me. I mention this for retail merchants who might care about packaging and presentation.
