I really like this construction toy and it is very good quality. My only criticism is that the kit doesn’t contain enough nuts and I can’t find how to get any more.

I bought this for my four-year-old grandson. It is good a good quality product, he was very pleased and with help he made an imaginative bridge. I bought it as a wooden construction set for him to play with now and for the future.

Perfect for 3 Yr old grandson who loves making and mending things.

This 30 piece kit is a lovely traditional set. It's a type of toy familiar to generations and one that has stood the test of time. It's a great way to introduce the principles of construction kits and the chunky pieces of this wooden set are ideal for children of 4+. The set includes nuts, bolts, building blocks and a screwdriver; many pieces are painted in bright colours (with safe paints, of course). An instruction sheet is included with various suggested models, and children will probably need adult help to get started. Once they have grasped the principles, they will soon be using their own creativity to design and build different models. Many key skills will be encouraged, including manual dexterity, creativity, imagination, problem solving, design skills and perseverance. For some really imaginative play, why not encourage children to build toys or furniture for their teddies and dolls? There are many ways the set can be incorporated into play scenarios; with model trains perhaps. The manufacturing quality is good and there are no rough edges to the wood. Another lovely toy and one that will be used over and over again.

the models cannot be made with one box; I bought 2 and even that was not enough. The instructions are not clear. The amount of wood dust that comes off the bolts is significant. So in a word: disappointing. There are better similar construction toys. js

I bought this toy for my 2 year old grandson as he loves 'fixing' things (his project at the moment is trying to take the stairgate off with a toy saw) It is lovely to see him sitting at a table with my husband using the nuts, bolts and building blocks - my husband assembles the toy and then Elliot takes them apart - the concentration on his face is a joy. The kit is made of a good quality wood very soft to handle and no rough edges and the colours make it more interesting. I would not hesitate in recommending this for a present for any child who loves construction as the parts are easy to hold in their tiny hands. I required a part which we had lost in some packaging and Toys of Wood helped with my enquiry speedily.

4 year old enjoyed making the suggested designs. She made the bike and her teddies rode it around. Certainly get a bit of play from it.
