Didn't do anything
I tried this product hoping it would clear my persistent acne. I've been struggling with pretty severe acne and breakouts for no known reason since I was about 12 (almost 4 years ago) I didn't notice anything significant change and didn't see any difference in my skin for almost a month. It finally started to appear less irritated and red but it didn't improve anymore than that. This product has the consistency of water, and has no coloring and almost no smell. This was also the first product I have used for my acne that didn't make it worse than it already was (however it didn't make it any better either) I won't be buying, nor recommending this again due to its failure to do for me what it promised :(

Great for sensitive skin!!
Ok so I'm a sucker for a pretty bottle and cute packaging. It was love at 1st sight. Now onto the treatment. It's a very liquidy, lightweight serum type treatment. A small amount over affected areas is all you need. It is very gentle on the skin. I have sensitive skin and I've been out on the sun a lot, but this treatment hasn't bothered my skin at all! It's very mild but boy does it pack a punch! My blemishes caused by clogged pores and hormonal pimples are gone! This works wonders! Would definitely recommend!!**I received this product in exchange for my honest review and opinion.

Overpriced gimmick
I bought the 3 part Acne Treatment System directly from Nerd mid-December. It cost $199. I was out of town when it arrived and as soon as I got home I started using it. Within 3 days a HUGE cyst formed on my chin. I suspected it was caused by the product but I kept using it for 4 days after I drained the cyst. I followed their instructions to pop it with a sterile needle and what resulted was a swollen chin for 2 weeks. The cyst didn't drain puss, only clear fluid. The skin became yellow and hard and seemed dead. The spot swelled up so big it was like a 1/4 of a golf ball was in my chin. It's been a month since it formed and it's still not totally healed. I figured I should give it another shot and I tried using it again about a week ago. Within 24 hours ANOTHER cyst formed on the other side of chin. This time I stopped using it immediately and it's almost gone now. I contacted NERD and explained that I knew the 2 week return period was over but I explained what happened in hopes that they would refund the $200 bucks or even part of it. The response I got from Bryan in their customer service team was condescending and rude. He started by saying it sounded like I hadn't given it chance to work (if the return policy is 2 weeks, how would anyone "give it a chance?"), he told me I should have popped it and sent instructions (which I'd done), and he asked if I was combining other products along with NERD because it wouldn't work if I was. I responded that I had popped it following instructions (I'm a 40 year old woman who has suffered from acne my whole adult life, I know how to drain a zit) and that I had added Cerve moisturizer because NERD is not moisturizing at all and my skin was flaking off without using another product. His next response was this "It's really important to clean it out thoroughly. If it isn't cleaned out thoroughly, it can get worse. I looked into your order, unfortunately, we can no longer accept your return. It's passed our return policy date." So, yes, Bryan, I cleaned it thoroughly. I spend the holidays with a GIANT wound on my face because I followed NERD's instructions to drain it and it only made things worse. Then he repeats that the 2 weeks was up which was the very first thing I said to him in the first email I sent asking for an exception. Don't bother with this overpriced gimmick unless you want to set your wallet and your face back.

Doesn't work!
This stuff does not work. I used it for a month and my face became a painful, zit-covered oil slick. I am no scientist, but I doubt their claims are true. They claim that acne is caused by a bacteria called p. acnes. An admittedly quick Google search on p. acnes brings up a few recent papers (2015) that talk about a possible connection between p. acnes and a few conditions, including certain types of acne. But Nerd's promotional video shows a woman APPLYING p. acnes bacteria to her face to induce acne. What? If that were the case, we could get acne by hugging someone with acne.We all know people who have perfect skin but never even wash their faces, and we all know people who have problem skin no matter what they do. Acne is not just caused by a bacteria that can have/get/put on your skin. This product was about as effective as using nothing but water for me. Sorry to unload here, but Nerd doesn't allow reviews on their site. I'm also annoyed by their 7-day return policy, which, let's face it, doesn't exactly inspire confidence. Neither does the "What to expect in 7 days" infographic on their site that is nothing but a guide on how to effectively pop your zits. I really wanted to find an all-natural product that works ( I hate stupid Proactiv and their awful company) but Nerd ain't it. Ugh. Back to stupid Proactiv. :(
