True Stories of Law & Order: SVU: The Real Crimes Behind the Best Episodes of the Hit TV Show

Bought this for my husband, he liked it but said it was really graphic. Nothing left to the imagination. He’s retired police so if he says this it’s got to be pretty heavy.

I read this book in nearly two days. It’s a great read. It’s informative, descriptive and interesting, if you like learning about heinous crimes throughout the country.My only problem with the book is that it was published in 2007 so some statistics thrown in aren’t up to date. Or you don’t get the full story because the person is still awaiting trial. There are also a few spelling and grammatical errors that make it a slightly confusing at times, but not throughout. The biggest spelling mistakes were of names, so I just had to go back and double check that I was reading about the same person earlier.Otherwise, it really is a good read and I definitely recommend it to others.

Unfortunately this book was not what I expected. The pages are the color and texture of newspaper. It has enough stories, but not enough photographs for a true crime book. I'm hoping my daughter will overlook everything I just mentioned because I ordered it as a gift.

Great read! It was fun to read a chapter and then watch the corresponding episode.

Anyone who loves SVU would love this book! It gives the true inspirations behind different episodes. I found it very enlightening as I've often wondered what episodes are based on real events. It's not exhaustive but it does cover quite a few episodes from quite a few seasons.

I thought this book was good and quite interesting as a fan of the TV programme it was fun to read how it was done in real life. Found the lettering a bit same though so wouldn't buy if u have eye trouble.

Good price and quick delivery. Well written stories of real life crimes, no imagination here. There could have been more pictures however. Buy it!

I'm giving only 4 stars as it is not as informative as expected. Still, it is good reading.
