Brilliant Sound - for Something so small.
A big Sonos fan - so slight rose tinted when writing this.Love it - we have Sonos throughout the house - and this is perfect for outdoor listening - our wifi signal is strong enough to use the speaker in the garden and for it to play the same music in the house - you end up not playing it as loud to hear it in the garden which is nice.We used if for BT speaker on a weekend away - connection is easy and it doesn't get confused when you want to get back onto the wireless app at home.Sound quality is good - it sounds much louder than you'd assume but different to that of a Play 1 but better than you'd expect on it's own.Battery seems decent we had it on all day for a family BBQ and it was only down to 40% it was on for well over 8hrs. Hopefully this doesn't decline over use. Will get a couple of charging docks. Use it in my office alongside my Play 1 - it sounds better when the 2x of them

Packs a big punch for a little speaker
I needed an all-purpose speaker while I decide on what sound system I want for my new house and picked the Sonos Roam for its portability (easy to move from room to room) and sound quality. I was not disappointed: the sound isn't quite as good as my Bose headphones but better than my LG TV, which for a box that small is impressive.I also wanted something that would act as a controller for Alexa, and it does that very well with the exception that it keeps going into standby mode and won't respond then, so I can't leave it unplugged for. long

Great alternative to connect to your sonos sound system without buying sonos connect
Don’t be put off by reviews complaining about battery life. I can only think they haven’t figured out how to turn it off. I’ve turned mine off come back a week later and still got the same battery life as when I turned it off.Sound great for the size. I use it mainly as a bridge to connect my Bluetooth record player to my sonos sound system without have to pay the ridiculous price of a sonos connect. I also have a portable Bluetooth speaker now.My only negative would be I wish there was a different button to connect the Bluetooth. It’s the same as the on off button. This can take a bit of getting used to as I turn it off every now and then instead of connecting. Other than that I’ve had no problems connecting to Bluetooth. Very simple really.

Great speaker, shame about the power button.
This speaker is so enticing, offering almost everything you would ever need from a portable speaker;LightweightGood soundImpressive array of connection options (Bluetooth/WiFi/voice control)Unique styling and shape (triangular).Versatile standing options (upright/landscape).Wireless chargingAuto Trueplay sound adaption to environment. However, there is for me one glaring annoying feature; the power button. This very narrow long shaped button (multi function) is difficult to operate easily. Turning on/off effectively is almost a lottery as it’s dependant on if you’ve held the button in too long or not long enough to (power up/power down). Also, Its placement on the back is virtually hidden. Why?As an initial workaround I disabled the battery saver option meaning unit only goes into sleep mode. However every time the Sonos app is opened speaker wakes draining the battery. The other option is to avoid manually powering speaker off/on is when battery saver is on and it turns itself off, is to connect to a charger which automatically powers unit back on again.Just a suggestion, but they could have used a round button instead (recessed) giving easy access providing a more intuitive feel.

Brilliant speakers when working in a stereo pair
These are great speakers and I wish I'd invested in Sonos earlier. Very easy to set up and amazing sound quality. I bought two specifically to use them as a stereo pair (to replace two Bose portable ones, which were a nightmare to get working as a pair, via bluetooth) and they worked perfectly on the first time of set up. Their stereo performance is superb! They only work in stereo using WiFi, but I have a WiFi mesh around my house, so no problems there.

Fantastic sound
Love this but set up with internet had challenges. Worked straight away with bluetooth. Took a few days to get it to connect to the router, still not sure why it worked eventually. Sound is amazing. Lovely size for travelling too and easy to bring from room to room.
