Creightons Salicylic Acid Soothing Lotion (75ml) - With salicylic acid & calendula, a moisturising, lightweight lotion to help soothe and care for angry, blemish-prone skin

Creightons products are very good and reasonably priced. I have used this (soothing lotion) and the clay cleanser. I have a very oily skin that is prone to small blackheads. After a few uses of the clay cleanser my skin was noticeably clearer and smooth. I did notice that for my skin, it's better to use for 2 or 3 days not every day. My skin became oilier but on studying how the acid actually works I realized that it was because my pores were running free and not clogged. So that's basically it but only use the clay cleanser now and then. The soothing lotion seems a bit tamer so I use that now every 3 or 4 days. I'm nearly 68 and never thought I would be writing such a review but it's really good for MY skin.

Much cheaper than similar products containing salicylic acid, which is the main reason why I bought it. It hydrates well my skin and gives a mild mattifying effect. My skin is "normal" but it suffers from blackheads. I was looking for something not too aggressive but still efficient on that, and by now i can already say it is not aggressive at all, but I hope to find positive effects on blackheads as well, after some days of use. Too soon to say it. I don't think it would be good on oily skin, while I think it could have a calming effect on hirritated skin, thanks to a percentage of calendula contained in it. If only it smelled nicer, I would give 4/5.

I love this product. I used to use Cerave salicylic acid smoothing cream, but it's a bit expensive. It's definitely worth it, but it's on the high side. I wanted to try this since the price was much lower and this does exactly the same thing, maybe even better. Mind you, I do use a salicylic acid cleanser, but on days I don't use it, this still keeps my skin smooth and clearer than ever.
