10/10 Would buy again (but probably will never need to!)
I’ve been using this hammer for a few months on framing projects and it quickly became my go-to. The weight is perfectly balanced for solid swings and the milled face grips nails really well. The leather grip looks great and feels comfortable even after hours of use. Overall, this tool delivers both performance and style that you can count on.

All in all good hamer
This is a quality hammer no doubt. But to call it a framing hammer at 15oz head weigh is a joke. And of course if you use it as a hammer the paint will chip off. The only complaint I have is the head is poorly machined it is misshapen on mine as well as many others. Other then that I find it to be very well balanced and a good nail driver more suitable for trim work and siding things along that kind of work. I think I'll leave the framing to my 22oz eastwing. And I almost forgot to mention the handle can pass as a wooden one not leather just from the feel hardest leather handle I ever felt I'm tempted to try sanding it to see if it softens any

Good hammer
I had a crackhead steal my Milwaukee hammer and it was a 19oz so I found this 15oz and figured it would be lighter and I don’t really hammer things as I am a sprinkler fitter, it’s been great, the handle absorbs impact and came sharp.

Truly the best looking hammer out here
Best lookin hammer out there. The grip isn’t as grippy as normal blue handle. But that’s not a deal breaker for me. But that’s the complaint I get from coworkers who barrow it. Also I’m a big fan of the nail puller on the side. I’m a concrete carpenter and works perfect for 16d duplexes.

Works
Wow!!! I was amazed that this tool which is specifically designed to install nails does just that! Haha... But seriously, I live on a farm and drive a lot of nails and also pull a ton. I've had this exact weight and style hammer with the rubber grip for many years, it's the best hammer I've ever used function-wise, and the quality will last a lifetime. It's so good in fact, that my wife uses it all the time which presents a problem when I go to use it and it's not in its spot. This leads to this hammer with the compressed leather grip. I bought this for my wife in the exact weight and design of mine but with this handle material so we could tell them apart. The cost is more expensive than a basic claw hammer and cheaper than some crazy fancy hammer that no one needs. It is worth every penny. Every design feature is immensely useful and performs better than every other hammer I have and have used (I own almost a dozen other claw hammers that just sit in a drawer). Estwing is second to none on quality and it WILL last a lifetime. I will never have a need to buy another hammer unless my wife or I lose ours... If you ever use a hammer, buy this one. You will have zero regrets and give away your others to anyone who needs a hammer.
